We have a lot of leaves and the Worx leaf mulcher arrived in a timely manner for us to start dealing with the mess. The customer service was very helpful in dealing with a minor issue and the mulcher really made our huge leaves turn into a very fine mulch we are eager to use in the garden. Very gals we chose this product!

Does the job

Raked up 28 bags of leaves from our two trees. Most dry and some wet by rain. The day after my leaf mulcher arrived I got to shredding. I learned quickly that you want to pour in slowly. That means you observe the rotation of leaves in cylinder. As long as the walls don’t cake up you can increase input of leaves, wet or dry.
If you put them in, casually use hands to loosen leaves so they don’t go in bunches which cakes to walls. Especially wet ones. After each bag I would use hands and wipe any caked up or walled up debris. This helps tremendously.
28 bags took an hour. If you compare to lawnmower going over leaves, over and over, then bagging, this is superior.
It would have been much faster with help but I wanted to see how to use this optimally.
I don’t see any better models out there, nor any complaints for this. It does the job, and you must be patient, or hire someone if you can’t.
My 28 bags went down to 8. I put the shredded leaves in a 4*4*4 bin and it went 60% full. This will be my mulch next fall.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have lots of large oak trees in my yard and need to mulch the leaves. I have run a ton through this unit and the only negative thing I can think of is the line wears out ever so often and especially when sticks go in. The saving grace is how easy it is to replace the line. I can do it in just a minute or two. Overall this is really saving me a ton of work so far!

Great yard care addition!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this 3 weeks ago and only wish I had purchased it earlier! So nice to use my Worx blower into a pile and then just place the hopper and it loads directly into the bag. Don't have to buy any special bags, easy to setup and move to other locations in the yard. Such a back saver and so easy to disassemble and store!
Great time and back saver!

Great with a useless stand

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this two months now. I have quite the leaves in my quarter acre suburban yard. Anyhow the first two things you need to do with this are 1) trash the orange plastic "bag holder" ring when you open the box. it's bent beyond use and is worthless. 2) trash the metal stand if you plan to use brown yard waste bags.
If Worx spend more time desigining the stand over plastering the unit with Worx logos I'd be happier. The stand is way too short for anyone who uses the brown paper yard waste bags. If you are using black/plastic bags then you're golden. But then again why would you use non-compostable plastic bags when doing yard work anyway? My county only allows brown paper bags. Which when you put under this worthless stand are too tall. Then when you try to fold them over the top ring they just tear leaving wide openings for shredded leaves to fly everywhere. I tried adding extension PVC sleeves to give it height, but even then using this with brown bags it was difficult.
I ended up just placing the shredder portion into a garbage can, doing my shredding and then pouring the shredded leaves into brown bags. I'd also recommend some of those plastic leaf claws, those bad boys really make it easy loading the shredder.
Shredder itself works amazingly, even with damp leaves. Every once in a while you have to turn it off and clean it out but that only makes sense. I highly encourage you wear eye protection as well- you will get pieces flying out smacking you in the face from time to time. Shreds small sticks and twigs really well too. Once your line wears out it's simple to add new line and keep moving. Overall an amazing, very helpful machine but once again the stand is garbage.

Great tool for the price!

Bought this about a month ago and have used it on two afternoons. Easy to use and mulches a lot of leaves in a short period. What previously took about 8 hrs to mulch, was done in 2 hrs. with much improved mulching. My only areas for improvement so far are that the twine doesn't last long enough (though is easy to replace) and an adapter for a trash can would be nice since plastic bags are now taboo in my area. I have not tried the paper bag adapter yet.

The leaf mulcher is easy to put together and use. I am very happy with this product took less time to cleanup the yard than I thought. I recommend this product it is a good buy.
