If this reset does not revert the unit back to normal operating function and stop tumbling, this will require service by a qualified technician. Not your father's GE appliance.

Cheaply built compared to our older GE dryer. Door has to be slammed shut for it to latch. The alarm signaling cycle complete is extremely loud, long, and annoying. Old GE dryer had a pleasant beeping sound. 3 small sheets weren't even half dry after 40 minutes on medium temp. Have to dry everything on high temp for at least one hour to dry completely. Tremendous waste of gas.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just bought and installed gas dryer converted to propane LPG.
Hubby followed online instructions pretty simple to follow. So far large cotton load drys in 50 minutes.
Annoying: loud sounds nearing end of cycle. It's a reminder to get clothes out so not to get wrinkles. But wish could disable.
