Fast and quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washing machine is super quiet and fast. I barely hear the washer unless it is filling with water. My previous machine was so loud I could hear it from another level in my home. This Samsung washer is a dream in comparison. This washer can wash 2 loads in the time My old one could do 1 load. I am able to get multiple loads done in a short amount of time. I love that I can turn on super speed and make the load wash even faster. The only thing I am not thrilled about is because of its large capacity the drum is deep. I am short so in order for me to reach items from the bottom of the drum, I require a step stool.

Great washer for families

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washer is amazing! I can fit all of my sheets in one load. I love that it can sense my loads and let me know how long loads will take. I also enjoy that it’s WiFi connected I can set it on my phone with the SmartThings app to start when I’m on the way home or I can delay the start time for hours later. I can also set it on fast wash which is awesome if I’m in a rush. I also love that it has a separate spout to rinse something off before doing a full load. The inside is nice bc the agitator in the middle is straight down and my clothes don’t get caught around the bottom. The vibration reduction technology is nice and my washer stays in place now. This is the perfect washer for my family.

Versatile without sacrificing ease.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung 5.1 cu. ft. Large Capacity Smart Top Load Washer is basically everything I wanted in my household, or any household for that matter.
The large capacity is great, no more trips to a launderer for doing those queen or king size bedding washes, but if you are doing a small load it can do that too without wasting water. The load selection is basically a no brainer, it's extremely intuitive and all indicated plainly on the panel. From large load, deep fill to small quick wash it has everything you need.
Silence is golden. While obviously not silent, the unit is impressively quiet in every phase of washing - at least compared to all previous units. Spin cycle and drain is probably the most noisy, but I can barely hear it through one interior door, and it's completely unnoticeable in the washroom from the main floor. The vibration reduction works exactly as it should. Oh, and the soft close lid on the unit, added bonus, just give it a bump to close and it gently and silently closes - love that.
SmartThings, yes. Smart and easy! This was probably the easiest set up ever. Once the unit was installed and plugged in doing a test fill, my phone having already had the smart things app installed, detected the potential new unit and asked if I wanted to add an appliance. Clicked yes, prompted to scan the QR code on the front of the washer, and it did the rest. Connected and ready to give me notice when a load was done in less than 2 minutes!
I wanted a washer large enough to handle big family sized loads, or bedding, but flexible enough to also do a quick wash without taking forever and using excessive water. This hit the mark perfectly. I'm genuinely pleased with the washer and would not hesitate to recommend it!

Where has this washer been all my life?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have one word for you: WOW!! That's how I felt when I did my first load of laundry in the Samsung 5.2 cu. ft. Smart Top Load Washer! I downloaded the SmartThings app, and away I went! I do want to say you don't need to use the app to do your laundry, but it is pretty awesome if you do! You can pick a setting called "laundry recipe" on the app. From there, you tell the washer what type of clothes your are washing, how soiled they are, etc. It gives you an option or two suggesting the best way to wash those particular clothes--and you can literally start the washer from your phone!
Th washer has a BIG drum, so you can fit large comforters in there. My dog had an accident on our comforter the second night we had the washer and I was amazed at how easy it fit in for washing! I will say, the drum is deep. A couple of the loads I had to get on the tips of my toes to grab a couple socks that were way down there!
The washer is super quiet which is great. It also has a soft-close lid so it won't slam down if you let go! Once the laundry load is complete, the SmartThings App sends an alert to your phone telling you it's done! I am so happy with this product!

Great washer for everything!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I did the first load of laundry in this bad boy, I was amazed! Once you download the SmartThings app, you can utilize the "laundry recipe" function--you tell the machine via app what type of clothes you are washing, how soiled they are, and if they are colors or whites. From there, the app gives you a couple different "recipes" to choose from that best matches what you have in the washer and away you go! It even sends your phone a notification when the load is complete. It also has something called Vibration Reduction Technology--the washer is so quiet you can barely hear it running. The drum of the machine is huge! I was able to fit a comforter with ease and with still room to spare. The drum itself on the inside is beautiful and shiny. There is a self-clean option you can also use, but I haven't made it that far yet! I know I'll never have to go to the laundromat again to wash heavy bedding because this machine handles it. Get it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the look of the washer, seems sleeker than our previous washer. Our previous washer did not have a agitator and I am happy our new Samsung washer does. I love the smart things feature, because I am very busy and sometimes forget I did a load of laundry, it’s a great reminder. I wish it had more features, like a towel setting. This washer takes almost 2 hours to wash a load of towels on heavy duty setting with an extra rinse. That is very disappointing, it doesn’t seem like an energy efficient feature to me. Also takes about 20 min longer to do a normal load, compared to our previous Samsung washer. This new washer is so much quieter and I definitely enjoy that, our clothes seem to be cleaner. All in all I think it’s a great washer for the price, I would recommend to friends and family.

Smart = Money and Time saver

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I did not know that having a smart washer was going to change the mundane task of washing clothes into something everyone at home would enjoy. This is a big boy of a washer that can wash a load twice as big as our old 15 year old washer could. It also so silent. The silence is unheard of. LOL. Our old washer was on the second floor and the vibration was very noticeable. We can tell when the washer was done when we had silence downstairs. This new Samsung washer it is totally silent. It is mainly due to the rubber feet that reduce sound. This smart washer connects to your WIFI and will work with SmartThings and Alexa. If you have echo speakers around your house you can set it up to be notified by Alexa when the washer is done. You can also be alerted every 30 minutes about a finished load in your washer. Very handy for individuals who are forgetful about laundry. We've all been there we load the washer and get preoccupied with the kids or other chores. Then when we realize there was a load in the washer and we have to rewash it again. This feature will save you time and money. The simple settings are a no brainer to use. It is just a knob that you turn to choose the type of clothes you are washing. The auto dispenser will dispense the detergent automatically. The washer will weigh your clothes and dispense the correct amount of water. No more forgetting to change the previous setting and having your clothes not wash properly. If you want to control more of the settings you can there are buttons for temp, spin cycles, rinse and soil. This washer does take longer to wash the clothes than my old washer but it uses way less water and less detergent since it uses HE detergent. I have no complaints when my water bill comes in and it is way less than my previous bill. If you are in a hurry and need to wash clothes fast it does have a quick wash button that will wash clothes in 28 minutes.

Awesome product, huge capacity

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were looking forward to our only missing Samsung product in the Smart Things line! The washer! We got it delivered and not only that, but they installed and hauled away the old washer. Perfect service! We have been using the Smartthings app environment since it came out, our internet hub is Smartthings as well as everything electronics, appliances and gadgets, Galaxy phones, earbuds, range, dryer, bespoke fridge and dishwasher, laptop, smart power plugs, we even replaced the internal hard drives on all laptops with Samsung SSD. Now, back to the washer... It has a huge capacity, we can never fill it up, but that's a plus. It came with all the pipes needed for installation, it only took a few minutes. Once powered, I opened the Smarthings app and it was found right away and included in my other home appliances. The product has a multitude of programs and since we didn't have it for so long, we only used a few so far. Since I wear daily white dress shirts, I was impressed with the "whites" function, but "normal" and especially "super speed" come in very handy. Clothes are coming out extremely clean(how else:) and overall we are very impressed with the performance of the product. A big plus, since connected to the Smartthings app, I never forget again to remove the clothes out at the end of the wash, since I get a notification on the phone once is done. Overall, another great quality, performant, and innovative product from Samsung!! Couldn't be happier and we recommend this product to anyone in the market!
