Timer Volume Needs to Be Louder

I have only had the product less than 1 day. The cooktop heated water to a boil quickly. There is no way to adjust the volume of the timer up or down. The timer sound is either on or off and that is it. GE needs to include a way to adjust the volume so that it can be louder such that I hear it going off from another room in my home. Also, the bottom drawer has a problem not aligning properly on one side, so I have to contact the seller or GE for warranty service. Basically, the bottom drawer comes into contact with the painted surface on one side even though it seems to be on the drawer track. This needs to be addressed as it could damage the painted finish. Also, I am a person who uses the appliance manual. I was disappointed that GE no longer provides a manual, so I had to print it off. GE should include the manual or at the very least offer it for a minimal purchase price. I deducted 1 star for the lack of volume control, lack of manual, and improperly working drawer. Overall, I have high hopes for the cooking performance of this range as I previously had a GE Spectra range for 20 years, and. it was wonderful. I hope to have the same experience with this range.

Good but needs tweaking for sure

I just got all new GE Profile fingerprint-resistant appliances including this range. I wasn’t ready to spend a huge amount of money for an induction cooktop, so I decided to try an electric range with a convection oven (the price for the GE induction ovens are a bit ridiculous). I am VERY concerned about all of the reviews for this cooktop and how it scratches, etc. This is an all black cooktop so it will show anything including dust. I had an old Whirlpool range (26 years old and still was working), and that top was very strong. This one seems very delicate and thin. I also cooked with a cast iron pan all of the time on my Whirlpool cooktop, and the manual for this GE range says not to put a cast iron pan on it unless it is painted cast iron. What a disappointment. I also always used an oven liner on the bottom of my Whirlpool oven and the manual for this GE says not to. Another disappointment. I wish this oven had the oven tray that some of the others GE ranges do, that catches spills. That would have been great. I will review all appliances and will write another review for this stove the more I use it. I did want to say that the stove seems to cook hotter than my Whirlpool, but that may be just something I have to get used to since it is another brand. The biggest issue I have is …
1). it takes forever to pre-heat to a certain temperature and
2) the alarm for the pre-heat and timer alarm can hardly be heard at all!! Even while standing in the kitchen let alone in another room!! I am not sure how they (the designer of this range) could not figure this one out. It is simply beyond my comprehension!
I wanted to get this first review out right away to help others make their decision. More will come later.

Like the convection oven

I have had the GE Profile one month - so far it is working fine. I purchased this stove because I had to return one that I purchased from your competitor. The paint inside the stove was peeling off. The appliance store assured me that I wouldn't have those type of problems with a GE appliance. I haven't used the oven a lot so I can't give a total review of the entire stove. I will say the burners stain very quickly (even with water) and are hard to keep clean. Also, there are not a lot of instructions for maintenance/upkeep of the stove.
At this point I can honestly say I like the stove. I will give an update within 6 months.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The burners work fine. The oven works fine. I like that it only takes 10 minutes for the oven to heat up. I haven’t used the air fryer yet. I like the timers too. I also like the fact that can control the oven with the app.
