The engineers of this stove certainly do not cook.

We every day use it for cooking. The glass top is very, very difficult to clean. Every day we fight with smudges and dried stains. Dirty spots are almost impossible to clean them even with a razor blade. We can't even compare this glass top to our previous GE range 15 years old. Epic fail.
We can’t hear the timer when it goes off, no way to adjust signal volume.
Last comment. Very tricky to switch remaining timer time(doesn't shows seconds) with oven temperature.
Frustrated.
For the design of the stoves, the opinion of people who use them on a daily basis is needed.
Fingerprints resistance is only one thing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Timer Volume Needs to Be Louder

I have only had the product less than 1 day. The cooktop heated water to a boil quickly. There is no way to adjust the volume of the timer up or down. The timer sound is either on or off and that is it. GE needs to include a way to adjust the volume so that it can be louder such that I hear it going off from another room in my home. Also, the bottom drawer has a problem not aligning properly on one side, so I have to contact the seller or GE for warranty service. Basically, the bottom drawer comes into contact with the painted surface on one side even though it seems to be on the drawer track. This needs to be addressed as it could damage the painted finish. Also, I am a person who uses the appliance manual. I was disappointed that GE no longer provides a manual, so I had to print it off. GE should include the manual or at the very least offer it for a minimal purchase price. I deducted 1 star for the lack of volume control, lack of manual, and improperly working drawer. Overall, I have high hopes for the cooking performance of this range as I previously had a GE Spectra range for 20 years, and. it was wonderful. I hope to have the same experience with this range.

The only thing I don’t like about it is I can’t hear the timer when it goes off. A I can’t figure out how to make the sound louder 😡

good stove lousy alarm volume

the stove work good but the timer alarm is way to quite unless you are standing in front of it. and the controls does not let me adjust the volume only turn it off or on.

Waiting to see if it lasts more than 9 months!

Too early to know if this is going to last any longer then the one that it was sent to replace. I can't rate it any higher until I see how it does. The original one only lasted 9 months and then failed completely and it took 5 months for GE to replace it. So far this replacement seems to be working as advertised, but we will see for how long!

Great looking GE Profile Electric Range

This model is a very attractive model compared to the lower priced models. The interior of this range is a gloss black enamel that is beautiful. The outside of the range is much more attractive than all of the others too. One important note: You have to leave the oven door closed to broil which is opposite of what you usually need to do. If you open the door during broil, it will turn off the upper element until you close the door again. Apparently, this is a new safety feature. The owner's manual does not explain the reason why, but it does say to leave the door closed during broil.

Will Never Own Anything but a GE Range

Love this range. We had always bought GE ranges and they were always wonderful. A number of years ago, we replaced our range with an LG because it was recommended by Consumer Reports. What a mistake. It was terrible. Finally replacing it after years of repairs, we now have this GE Profile range which works perfectly. The oven is accurate. All of the burners work, and the rapid boil feature is very helpful. We will never again switch away from GE. They are the best for ranges.
