Range works well don't need the wifi

Oven door not closing completely.

We are disappointed that the oven door does not close all the way. It is staying open to the point where the oven light is just barely turning off. We have contacted the dealer and they are sending out a crew to hopefully make an adjustment so that the door closes completly. Also, the height of the glass cooking surface is ~ 3/4" above the standard height of our countertops. Two previous stoves have fit evenly with the countertop. The leveling feet are in the fully retracted position. Question......when broiling a steak smoke was very heavy coming out the door when I opened it to check on the steaks. The pan was on the second level down from the top and the door was closed as per the instructions but, smoke was also coming out from under the middle of the burner control panel. IS THIS NORMAL????? Burners and controls are working very well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The distance between the bottom of the leveling legs to the top surface of the cooktop glass is 36". The leveling leg adjustment is +.500" / -.250". So, the height variance of the range from the floor to the top of the glass cooktop (considering the min./max. settings for the legs during leveling) is 35-3/4" min. to 36-1/2" max.
The right rear burner is where the oven vents, so seeing smoke/steam coming from under the control panel is normal. Please take a look at this link regarding the gap you are seeing in your door. https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=18191
We have a cooking guide on page 18 in your manual. When cooking steaks it is recommended to use Broil High and rack position 6. Spend more time cleaning than cooking.

I do not cook much because this stove top is so hard to clean, scratches very easily, the oven takes a long time to preheat. I use GE's recommended cookware and cleaning kit. I HATE this GE Profile Range PB900YV1FS. My previous flat top stove looked better than this after 20 years, than this in less than a year. It is ridiculous. I have an over the range GE microwave, it takes a long time defrost, cook , warm up to complete.

Not worth the extra $$

Bad decision. The controls on the panel like setting the clock or wi-fi are so cumbersome. Right now I've tried to reset the time about a dozen times and it doesn't stay. Disappointed in the air fryer also.

We'd like to assist with the controls and provide instructions for resetting the clock. For setting the clock, you will want to press and hold down "0" on the number pad for 2-3 seconds. The display will then flash, allowing you to enter in the desired time. After the time is set, you will then press "Start" to save this. We recommend checking out page 12 and 13 in the user manual to view more information about the controls. For assistance with connecting to the SmartHQ app and your network, we recommend contacting our connected home support team at 1-800-220-6899.

Still undecided on latest GE Profile Range model

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This replaced a prior GE Profile range that I really liked, but the burners started to malfunction. Anyhow, this GE Profile range I had for a month before the oven would randomly turn back on after shutting it off. I received a replacement that was dented and replaced that one. My issues with this model is that it only comes with 2 racks instead of 3. The AirFry doesn’t preheat, which sounds good, but then takes even longer to really “air fry.” The window is not sealed with the door, it has a gap, which I can’t imagine should be the case. So it’s a love hate relationship as I have loved GE Profile in the past and I’m trying to love this new one rather than hate it and replace with something else as would hate to give up on GE.

We'd like to share some information about the no preheat air fry mode and offer inspection towards the oven window door. The no preheat air fry mode is designed to reach the target temperature quickly thanks to the combination of heating from the bake, broil, and convection fan. Air frying can take longer than traditional frying methods, however air frying is a healthier option.
This model does come with 2 racks, but we do offer a roller rack that can be purchased separately. The part number is WB48X20881.
