Not In Love With It

Not in love with it. This is my first glass top electric oven, not sure I would like any other brands better. First the stove top takes a long time to heat up for searing. The oven takes a very long time to preheat. When it does reach temperature there is the slightest of sounds to indicate it. It does not display what the oven temperature is. The oven does do a good job cooking/baking.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very happy with purchase

I love the quality of my new range,{ a little disappointed that it has plastic knobs} but overall, well built. Timer buzzer could stand to increase volume as it is barely audible.

Meh

Looks nice. Doesn't cook like any stove we have ever owned. Front "burners" are just that, will boil water on the lowest setting. Owners manual is worthless. It won't connect to wifi, the oven floor bubbled up after the first cleaning cycle, and the timer is barely audible. The air fryer is nice though.

We want to help with your GE Appliances range. If it seems like the surface of your electric range with a radiant, ceramic glass cooktop is too hot, we do have some suggestions to offer for this situation. Please check the tips below if the Range surface seems too hot:
- The vent is located under the control panel on the backsplash. Make sure no pots, tea kettles, etcetera, are blocking the vent.
- Check the pan size. Oversized pans will trap heat between the bottom of the pan and the cooktop. This will transfer a lot of heat to the cooktop.
Your pans should not hang over more than one inch on each side of any surface burner. For example, on an 8" burner the maximum pan size should not exceed 10". On 6" burners, the pans should not be larger than 8".

You can view additional information in the article on our website at the link below:

You can adjust the volume on your range by following the instructions on page 13 of the owner's manual at the link below:

Quality Control?

So far the range is perfect except for the fact the "hot surface" indicator on the glass cooktop was not working after purchase. After contacting service to have it looked at it was determinted that the "light blub" was never installed at the factory (only the wires were there, no blub installed or located under the cooktop). Part was ordered, but taking an additonal two weeks to have it installed.
