[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had the stove now for a couple of weeks works just fine. Overall experience has been really good. Though I am a little disappointed in the fit and finish the bottom drawer sticks out about a quarter inch on one side. And the control knobs are cheap plastic instead of metal or something a little more substantial. I would think that you're top of the line Appliance would get better control knobs

Lousy design

When using the oven at high temps and/or a long period of time, the cooktop gets exceedingly hot. I've reported this, and worked with GE service, but alas, I was told this is normal and is part of the design of the unit. There are oven vents on the front of the door, directly behind the handle. However, I feel my issue is due to insufficient insulation on the cooktop itself. I don't believe the front vents would account for the middle of the cooktop, between the burners, getting so hot that you cannot place your hand on it for more than a second. I have nothing blocking the vents, either in front or by the back vents.

It can be normal to notice the cooktop get warm when using the oven. This is due to the vents being located under the control panel on the backsplash.
You will want to make sure that nothing is blocking the vents. Oversized pans will trap heat between the bottom of the pan and the cooktop. This will transfer a lot of heat to the cooktop.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Seems like a great stove, only issue is the timer is very soft and I am trying to figure out how to increase the volume. You can barely hear it when it starts chiming. The top can be hard to clean at first but I think that is because they have some type of film on it or something. Will be working that as well. Does a great job cooking.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I like all the features this stove has to offer. I was going to get a Frigidaire but didn’t like the features it offered.Theoven is bigger.controls are easy to use.The burners are able to be used both big and small.Capacity is versatile. Configuration is adaptable.

Packing tape removed paint

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just had the stove installed and the paint on the top of the stove peeled off when packing tape was removed. That shouldn't have happened! I also thought that it came with an easy wash oven tray, but it does not. Otherwise it seems like it will be a good stove, although I hope that GE sends me some touch up paint

Good oven but cannot remove stains from burners

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Basically satisfied with oven performance but disappointed with cleaning of the cook top. First time I used it the liquid bubbled over and have not been able to get stains removed. Tried everything recommended. Any other suggestions?
