Really the only thing I didn’t like about the build was how the side walls didn’t have studs exposed for attaching building layers. They don’t line up because of it.

Absolutely gorgeous set in my opinion. The interior has lots of fun details for Lego fans. The set also includes some really satisfying techniques. Would recommend to any collector

An ethical and legal celebration

While the kit had a few missing pieces during the 1st floor assembly, I had non-stop fun building this with my Anthropology professor. I got this to celebrate my semester learned about ethical and legal challenges in anthropology and it felt perfect for builders who work together. Not too advanced that you would get lost, and not too boring or repetitive that leaves you craving the next unique element.
Buy it!!!

Had a great experience with building and displaying this set. However I am missing roughly 4 different pieces. And no, I cannot contact the team about it, because I did not buy this set. It was bought for me. So I'm out of luck for lego's mistakes.

Great Fun... With a Lull

This is our 15th modular build. We build every year and this was no exception - the release date being moved up actually helped our holiday schedule a lot! Thank you for that!
The build was split between myself and my wife. We both love to find the special LEGO Easter eggs and the story woven in from past modular builds. We love the stories and care that the designers include and understand the growth of this treasured line of legos. We don't get bent out of shape by the risks that some builders can gripe over such as color selections, piece count or the minifig numbers. Those are understandable decisions that happen in the process - However this build has a few "missing pieces" in the sense of opportunities lost. We loved Assembly Square the other large build so much because of the details and variety of story telling. The boutique hotel similarly packed in alot as an anniversary set looking back and also forward (if you looked closely). This set wanted to really celebrate LEGO's history but there just seemed to be a few details missing that could have put it on the level of the previously mentioned builds. I have no problem paying the few extra dollars for the premium that these sets generally offer - please in the future throw in the few extra details consistently across the entire set that raises the bar that the modulars have been known for.
