Great Fun... With a Lull

This is our 15th modular build. We build every year and this was no exception - the release date being moved up actually helped our holiday schedule a lot! Thank you for that!
The build was split between myself and my wife. We both love to find the special LEGO Easter eggs and the story woven in from past modular builds. We love the stories and care that the designers include and understand the growth of this treasured line of legos. We don't get bent out of shape by the risks that some builders can gripe over such as color selections, piece count or the minifig numbers. Those are understandable decisions that happen in the process - However this build has a few "missing pieces" in the sense of opportunities lost. We loved Assembly Square the other large build so much because of the details and variety of story telling. The boutique hotel similarly packed in alot as an anniversary set looking back and also forward (if you looked closely). This set wanted to really celebrate LEGO's history but there just seemed to be a few details missing that could have put it on the level of the previously mentioned builds. I have no problem paying the few extra dollars for the premium that these sets generally offer - please in the future throw in the few extra details consistently across the entire set that raises the bar that the modulars have been known for.

Love the Museum!

This is such a fun build. I just started building this past month and I’ve done quite a few sets. This was probably one of the easiest sets to build. My only complaint (for most Lego sets) is the inability to really enjoy the inside of the sets again after we’re done building.

I wanted to keep building through bag after bag to see what else there was to discover in the museum. I kept saying, oh look I built a dinosaur. Oh look at this planetary display. Oh look at the path of the rocket through space...etc.

I love this set! I have many sets from this series and was very excited when this one released. There's not another one like it in the group. The detail is amazing. It wasn't overly difficult to build, other than a few tedious steps. It's beautiful & fits perfectly with all the other sets in the series.
