Poor Design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The overall weight of the trimmer is greater than the WG209. What makes it worse is the weight is all frontloaded in front of the handle so it is extremely unbalanced. It makes it difficult to use with one hand. The WG409 was a much better design.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Worx 24" hedger makes doing the hedges simple, it makes you want to find other things to cut because it's not only easy but fun.
Set up
You take it out of the box and your done there is no set up. This tool straight out of the box is ready to go just plug it in and get down to business.

Use
One of my favorite features of this hedger is the rotating blade. So instead of twisting your arms to change positions when doing side cuts. You simply unlock the blade turn and start your cuts. So if you're doing side cuts you can just breeze right through them with the same arm position as top cuts. It cuts limbs up to 3/4 inches with ease, doesn't even slow down to cut multiple branches of the same diameter. That long 24" blade shortens your cutting time down tremendously.

In line motor is excellent

This hedge trimmer is excellent. With the in line motor and rotating blade it is very easy to use and the long blade makes short work of trimming the bushes. Very pleased.

Taking it out of the box you can see and feel its quality - you have to think "this is one heck of a trimmer!" - A 180 degree adjustable cutter bar with a 24 inch reach able to cut 3/4 branches! Putting it to use the trimmer quickly sliced through everything I tried it on without hesitation. Thanks to the larger 3/4" spacing on the cutter bar I found it also very quickly and neatly cut smaller leafy material that would be pushed out of the way by trimmers with a lower cutting capacity. Using the swiveling cutter head (moves 90 degrees either way) allowed me to trim the sides of the hedges with a lot less effort. With the 24" bar I was able to reach areas where previously I had to use a stepladder to reach. A word of caution though, it does not care what it cuts and I have first hand experience that it will quickly and easily cut the power cord.... One thing I would like to see on it would be maybe extending the bar by an inch and putting a hole in the end of it so it could more easily be hung up. If you are looking for a quality built corded hedge trimmer I would certainly recommend this one.
