I used this saw for my tree trimming a few days ago. I found it to be a lot safer to use than a chain saw and much easier than a long pole pruner. Although the reach of a pole pruner is much higher it does not cut anything more than a 1/2 inch branch well. The teeth on the saw jaws allow for resting the saw on the branch before cutting
I bought this saw because I need something light and easy to use. My husband died and it is up to me, a 69 year old great grandmother, to keep the grapevine infestation from killing the trees on our 11 acres. I was able to use it until the battery went dead, just before I was exhausted. I think it did a great job, but there were a couple of vines that I still needed my neighbor to get because they were much wider than the saw allowed. I'll get out there again later.
The JawSaw is light-weight, easy for a 75 yr. old to use. Safety features are excellent. A regular chain-saw would be very dangerous. I have used one also when much younger. This is one of three WORX tools I have now and quality and construction of the tools is tremendous. .
As a widow in my 50's who has spent much time waiting on someone to help me with my outdoor work, I needed a saw which I could both start and operate. The Jaw Saw has given me such a sense of independence .I bought my Jaw Saw about a month ago and this saw has been used 2- 3 times a week. I have cut small down small trees, grapevines and trimmed lower branches on my shade trees. It's the perfect weight for a woman - I can hold the saw and cut the branches without feeling stressed. The cut is amazing and so quick. Plus - it's such a feel of accomplishment when I see the tasks completed. My theory is that I work until the battery runs down and that's been the perfect timeline to complete a task without feeling exhausted. It's the perfect tool for the middle aged single woman. I just put my battery on the charger so I can take my Jaw Saw over to a friend's for a demonstration. I brag about my WORX JawSaw at every social gathering. My Jaw Saw makes me feel so empowered. No more waiting for help - I have my JawSaw!!!

We have a large patch of River cane that has been impossible to keep under control. it tears op our backs when using a chainsaw and takes for ever with a handsaw but the JawSaw makes it simple. It keeps the polls from moving while cutting and goes through them like butter. The only drawback is the chipper can't keep up with all the cuts now. Most importantly is the fact that my 77 yr old mother loves using it too.
I have bought several Worx products and all of them have worked great. I would recommend all of them. My only complaint is that batteries are not interchangeable with products or chargers. It should be standardized.
