Chain doesn’t stay on

I finally took out of box and set up. Have home in poconos with a lot of trees. Tried to cut a 3/4 sapling to test out. Chain came off. Took apart and put chain back on. Reset tension. Tried again. Finished the cut and chain came off again. Put back in shed and used my hand saw. Not worth the trouble
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am sorry to hear about this. We most definitely appreciate you taking the time to share this with us! Depending on the type of wood being cut, the heat that is produced can cause the chain to stretch. To tension the chain, simply secure it around the sprocket and bar so that the chain is seated then pull the bar forward (outward) to create a snug fit. The chain should be tight enough to fit securely around the bar while leaving appropriate give for tensioning. Take caution that you do not overtighten the chain.

Best battery chain saw

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for Christmas last year. I'm a 63 year old woman. That has to be the easiest chainsaw to operate. I just love it. When they say it will take down a 3" tree they are right. I'm trying to clear our woods out for 4-wheeler paths. I needed a battery chainsaw because I can't lift a gas powered one and I'm no where near an electric outlet. This is one of my Worx products that I own. I think that makes 8 different things now.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great concept, poor execution.

I went all-in on Worx in part due to this saw and the ability to use the same batteries across a bunch of tools.
First, it took a lot of fiddling to figure out how to keep the chain on and at the right tension. But I figured it out and got good use out of it (cutting up fallen branches on my property for kindling) for about 5 times.
However, the saw just burned out after less than one summer of use. Literally quit in the middle of a cut and never came back on. Very disappointing.
I tried to open it up to see if I could figure out a fix but whatever’s wrong is clearly beyond my electrical skills. I had high hopes for this concept but I’m very disappointed. Would not recommend this tool. I have other Worx power tools that are so far working fine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Time Saver

I use this mainly for making kindling and cleaning branches off trees that I felled for firewood. I trim the branches off with this and then walk along them while they're on the ground and cut them into approximately 12" pieces. Loaned it to my chiropractor who lives in the woods for a week to try it. He ended up getting one and then so did his friends. I had three overgrown forsythias that I had to trim. Used my 20" Worx hedge trimmer to take them down 50% and raked it all into a pile. Took the JawSaw and went to town chopping the pile up so I could fill three 50 gal. garbage cans to put out for town yard waste pick up.That move turned a two hour project into about a twenty minute one. Did the same with an ornamental grass that was 7 feet tall that I had to cut to the ground in the early spring. Love my Worx tools.

Safe to use and effective

Love the power JawSaw

I have used the JawSaw several times and I love it. It is light weight and easy to use. I am a 60 year old female that wanted something I could handle. It starts easy and is very safe to use. It has security features that keep you safe while using. I have other WORX tools so, if the battery needs charging, I switch out to another battery that I use with the other tools. I highly recommend.
