I am definitely a Worx fan. I bought the weed-eater/trimmer several years ago. I can't say enough good things about it. If I need extras, like string, it is very easy to reorder. I just received my new Jawsaw. I have not used it yet, but am looking forward to trimming my trees this Spring. I am a senior citizen, and I feel like all the worx products are designed for me and people like me. Keep making dependable products that are also easy to use.
I mentioned to my husband how cool it would be to have a battery operated chain saw. I got a WORX 20V for Christmas. I love it because it is light weight, quiet, and I am able to do the smaller work while my husband runs his larger chainsaw. A small diameter, but tall tree, fell in the front yard. I cut it up and stacked it in about twenty minutes. This was a job too small for a gas chain saw but just right for this Jawsaw.
I was already extremely happy with the other 20 volt lithium ion battery tools from worx. I have very limited arm strength, so these fit the bill. I had been eyeing the Jaw Saw for a while, but just noticed it was offered in the battery platform. I got a chance to try it out this week on limbs that had fallen off trees in the yard. They were too large and heavy for me to manage, but with the Jaw Saw, I was able to cut them into kindling for a fire. This is a godsend for me as I have been staring at those limbs for a while now and trying to figure out how I was going to get rid of them, short of asking someone else to do it. It is slightly heavy for me, but since it does it's work resting on the ground, this is not a problem. I would not be able to use it overhead due to the weight and my puny strength, but perfect for my needs.
We are in our later years and my wife does much of the outside work and I was concerned for her safety so i purchased the JawSaw. We have the leaf blower and it works great and when she tried this, we were very pleased. Our yard is very wooded and this is the best and safest chainsaw / trimmer we could have purchased.
I just read a social media post the other day about a dog with a new hair cut who was so happy he was "running around like a child in his new Superman pajamas." I think that describes me with the JawSaw, I literally feel like I could be running around the neighborhood like Superman...er, woman, cleaning up trees, shrubs, and down branches, haha.
I bought the JawSaw to do clean-up around a rather modest yard, after years wielding a hand saw with aching results. This JawSaw, which I only used one time so far to clean up some branches this spring that were left from last fall, makes me feel powerful and confident. It's light enough to easily carry in one hand, and then control and use with both hands. The battery clips on with a secure snap, so it can't be bumped lose, then comes off just as quickly to recharge, or so I know there is NO power to the saw when I want to do cleaning and maintenance. It's pretty quiet and runs at a steady pace, needing just a little extra time and patience for thicker branches.
I got the extension handle with my JawSaw, but have yet to use it. I can say I've attached and unattached it a few times. It's not an instant transition, but again, I like the secure snaps and clamps, so I can work with confidence and not worry about malfunctions or injuries. I'm sure it will be a bit more cumbersome to work with the extension arm, but knowing the ease of use with the saw, I'm up for that challenge; and will be glad to be able to do even more Super tasks around the yard.
I'm so glad I don't have to ask anyone for help anymore, or only do two or three branches at a time before icing my rotator cuff. Thanks Worx!
