I bought the Worx Jaws saw for my husband for his birthday. A toboggan hill in our yard is used by the neighborhood kids in the winter and it requires yearly tree trimming and brush cutting. It has been an exhausting task that is never-ending and leads my husband to rethinking the decision every fall. The Worx Jaws has made easy work of a losing battle and saved sledding for another year!

I've been cutting wood since I was old enough to stand, and own two 'real' chainsaws, but got this for trimming small dead branches off trees in my yard. Compared to a typical full-sized gas saw it's light, nearly silent, 'easy to start' doesn't even apply, and I'm SUPER impressed with the 'jaw' design for cutting up small branches on the ground - the bar pinches the wood into the jaw and just holds it, with out any worry about running the blade into the dirt and dulling it. I also loved how you just lean into the handle, making it MUCH less work to bend over. It's practically a one-handed job. In spite of a very small bar, small teeth and very low RPMs it cuts surprisingly quickly with little effort.
However, it still has a few areas for improvement. I also own the WORX 56v lawn mower and 56v trimmer, and REALLY wish the saw would accept the same battery and charger. I suspect it's just a matter of time before they make a version of it that uses a common battery - or at least a common base and charger that will take either. In the mean time I've got yet ANOTHER charger to keep around. Also, I wish it would have come with a file. A saw is only as good as its blade is sharp, and this appears to be an unusual size (much smaller than any other saw I've ever run across); I hope I don't have a problem finding a sharpening file that will fit - it would have been so much easier if they just included one in the box, or at least made one available as an accessory.
I also got the extension arm, which works OK, but has poor balance - it's very top heavy, but since the saw isn't very heavy to start with, it's certainly usable.
Lastly, the original saw I received had a battery receiver that wouldn't mate with the battery or the extension arm power adapter - there is a pin on the battery / adapter that needs to slide into a groove in the connector on the saw, which was in a different location as though it were intended for some non-US market that uses some other standard, or was just made with the wrong part. Worx was good enough to ship me a replacement at no charge, but it took 2-3 weeks to arrive, so now it's far enough into the fall I can't tell which branches are dead with the leaves off ALL of them, but I'll have something to look forward to next spring - and for years to come judging from the build quality.
One final gripe - the handle has a built-in safety feature that requires pushing a button with the thumb while squeezing a trigger in the grip with the fingers, but the handle is so small that it's uncomfortable to scrunch my thumb in close enough to hit it - obviously it wasn't designed for large hands (I'm 6'4" and have hands to match). I'm sure this is a great feature for smaller users, but a more universal size would have been appreciated.
I used it enough to fall in love with the design, but not enough to tax the battery (only cut down a handful of small-ish dead branches, and cut a larger one into 15-20 pieces to put in my stove), so I can't comment on how long it will run on a charge, but since I didn't intend to use it for cutting up cord wood, I'm sure it will be more than adequate for trimming branches as needed.

I bought this tool to trim up the branches in the yard and I couldnt believe that it was able to cut down some small 4 inch trees which was great
I am a woman with back problems. We had an ice storm that brought down about 25 limbs I needed to cut up and clear away. The Jaw saw was less intimidating than a full size chainsaw! I was able to cut up the branches without any help! Easy to control. The extension pole was not as helpful. I couldn't hold it up myself but my branches were on the ground.
My husband has been having some back problems and unable to use his regular chainsaw. When I saw this advertised I decided that he might be able to use it without further straining his back. The only thing he has used it for is cutting firewood from trees/limbs that are on the ground. Even if he doesn't use it for anything else, purchasing it was well worth it! I can't speak for the extension part of it because he hasn't used it and may never be able to use it, but he's very pleased with the Jawsaw itself.
Was a little sceptical upon opening box looked like a lot of plastic. After using the jawsaw I was amazed at how durable and easy to use.Great product great price.
I'm a small individual and purchased this saw because a standard gas powered chain saw got much too heavy for me too quickly. I'm so pleased that I did, we've cut a ton of brush since. This little saw has a lot of power, and cut through larger branches with ease. I considered getting a second battery, but it seems that when the included batter runs out is a good time to start cleaning up the mess I've made. Best purchase I've made in a long time.
