Cost Effective but!

The unit performed admirably between chain throws. In the first 2 hours of operating the unit had to re-seat the chain five times. I would attribute this to stretching.
I would recommend this to a friend!

After a few minutes use the chain came off. No problem, I thought, let me check the manual (20 pages reprinted from website).
Fairly useless (that includes the three pages of cartoon drawings that must mean something to someone and 15 pages of legalese warnings and the safe way to cut trees).
Will dis-assemble tomorrow. Worked Very Well while it worked.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I don't like the chain tension knob I have a hard time keeping the chain tight enough.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to get this chainsaw. It was very easy to initially put together and even a novice like me was able to use it.
Great power for decent sized limbs. I even chopped up a huge stump in my front lawn.

Be aware this doesn't come with any chain oil for the reservoir tank so you need to by that before starting

Adjust is TERRIBLE. any vibration and the chain is loose and if you do not catch, the chain comes off.

I bought this chainsaw to trim my trees and Wow is was so lightweight,I was able to trim all my trees in no time and not feel sore. This is a great tool .. I love it.
