Awful! Burns everything

We got this toaster in March but didn't take it out because we were getting ready for our new house. We took it out about 4 months ago and it burns everything, even on the lowest setting 1 a toasted bread get burn (For what in this toaster 5 shades?!). We have used this toaster with a timer on a hand for making sure that we'll have edible bread for breakfast.  Although it looks great, we are very disappointed with the performance.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Even on the lowest setting, one side burns. Only way I can get decent toadt is time it for 1 minute 20 seconds, then turn bread and toast additional 30 seconds. Totally ridiculous for the amount paid for toaster.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is attractive, I like the beep sound when done. I was surprised it had a strong smell when it came. Sometimes I can still smell it. It seems to take longer to toast than my previous toaster and it’s burned the toast a couple times. I am concerned the smell could be toxic chemicals used in manufacturing off gassing. But, I had that with an electric kettle and other items before. I would like household items and the materials used to be made in countries that inspect, test and have standards for safety.

I’m looking to replace this toaster

I’m so sad to write an unsatisfactory review regarding a Kitchenaid appliance BUT…this toaster just isn’t good. It is so very slow. I have to get the toaster going and then begin to cook the eggs. The eggs finish and the roaster is still toasting. I’ve wondered if I have a “lemon”. It’s too late to return it but I just wanted to give my report. I’m going to pitch it and buy a different brand.

Buyer Beware!!!

Do not buy this toaster, it's garbage. I had a similar toaster from kitchen aide for years. It wasn't toasting evenly anymore so I replaced it with this one. You would think a company like this could master the most basic kitchen appliance. It either burns one side or the other, doesn't toast one or the other at all, bagel function has zero affect. You never know what it's going to do, not toast at all, toast one side only ( while not on bagel), or burn one side to a crisp. It's a complete waste of money.

Perfect toast every time!

Not happy with this appliance
