This was Ca birthday gift from my wonderful daughter. It replaced my old trusty Genesis that was finally rusting out. Lots of features that I don’t understand or use yet. The drop in griddle seems a bit fussy and other accessories expensive. I also miss the cast iron grill as the steel isn’t seasoning well and sticks. Overall won’t look a gift grill in the mouth. I’m sure it will break in eventually.
Well built, with heavy duty grill housing and cover for durability and to keep the heat in the grill. The side burner is great for cooking outside on got days when you don't want to cook in the house. I keep the lid closed, then place my pizza stone on the rack to use it like an oven to make pizzas and baguettes. If you like great steaks, the sear zone is where it's at! I highly recommend this grill!
Stainless Steel Weber Genesis is a great grill. They improved over previous model with the pull out tray. This makes it much easier to clean. It could be me, but I’m not 100% happy with stainless steel grates. I believe the cat iron on my previous Weber did a better job with food sticking to it. I still love it and use this grill 5 days a week. I have a pellet smoker as well, but this grill is way more convenient to fire up and grill steaks, hot dogs, burgers, and chicken on the regular.
