I have used Weber grills for many years. I am a big fan. This S-335 grill replaces my old Weber that still worked but was getting beat up and difficult to light. The new grill is fantastic with just a few complaints.
First, the positives. It seems much better at searing steaks, and I really like the ability to swap out the cook surface for a griddle. I plan to just leave the griddle in place except when I need the sear burner. I plan to get a pizza stone and maybe the wok. The side storage is nice. I can leave the grill grates that I am not using in there. I like the stainless steel grill grates that this one has. They are better than the cast iron. The grill itself seems to be better quality stainless steel than the old one because my magnetic light grips it well.
Now for the negatives. The tank hanger is useless when you are old like me. Trying to hang a full tank inside the storage area is quite a chore.
Next, the side hooks for hanging cook utensils are not tall enough and the utensils keep falling off if the wind is very strong. That never happened on the previous grill, but to be fair, it mostly happens when the Weber cover is on the grill. Which brings me to the Weber grill cover. It is over-priced and very lightweight. It probably won't last long, and if you aren't careful, it could blow off.
Next complaint is that the side burner knob is not well marked. After the grill was delivered (already assembled), I wanted to be sure each burner worked. I did not notice the side burner had been left in the 'on' position when it had been assembled. After lighting the main burners, I went to lift the side burner cover and imagine my surprise (and blistered fingers). I won't make that mistake again.
One final complaint: The locking wheels are very difficult to lock. I thought the cheap plastic wheel locks were going to break before they finally locked. That is not a big problem because I rarely need to move the grill.
Overall, my complaints are somewhat minor, and I will adapt and stick with Weber. I believe this grill will last many years since all my previous grills have been high quality.
This is our third Weber natural gas grill in 24 years and it sits on our deck year-round. I use it regardless of the weather and shovel a path to it in the winter to always keep it accessible.
The Weber engineer that designed this grill with a cabinet beneath the grill that has no top on it to prevent rain or snow from getting directly into it should be fired!!!!!!
The drip pan fills up and overflows with rain, leaves, and any debris that can easily fall into it because of this poor design. I have to empty the drip pan after every rain storm - how disappointing!
The grill's cabinet catches all of the same debis.
Maybe it was intentional so the grill rusts out faster or forces the customer to buy a grill cover? You should be ashamed of this cabinet with no closed top design!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for your feedback. Your satisfaction is very important to us. We can understand your frustration and concern about the cabinet being open. It needs to be open for the cabinet to get the proper ventilation and for safety reasons. Our Care team will reach out to follow up. Please look for our outreach soon. Thank you!
The new Genesis grill is replacing my last one, which was about 12 years old. I decided to upgrade to the Stainless Steel model to give it a try. I think that the quality overall may be a bit less than the previous model, as evindenced by the wheels and doors of the cabinet. Just a bit cheaper quality. One glaring point is the deletion of the tank scale, which is just ridiculous... This is my 3rd Weber Grill, and the first that didn't have it. I would not have bought the grill if I knew that, and while the scale is available to buy, Weber doesn't have it. A fail.

This is a great grill. My wife and I assembled it at home and the process went smoothly and it all fit together well. I've had Weber gas grills for years and I think this is my third and I noticed some changes and improvements over my last 10 year old Weber Genesis with new or revised wheels, burners, grease collector pan and split upper grill. I would have rated this 5 star but I was really surprised the package did not include the usual spring weight gauge for the gas cylinder just a hook (really on a thousand dollar grill!!!). The other problem is that for a senior it is virtually impossible to get down and into the cupboard enough to lift a full 20lb plus propane cylinder onto this hook. This is now further exasperated because I am using an inline accessory gas gauge which due to its length would stop the door from closing unless rotated 90 degrees. The result in my case is that the tank rests on the floor and not the intended hook. Otherwise, it is cooking really well with reduced flare-ups and good temperature control.
The grill itself is awesome. Easy to use burners and heat settings. Everything cooked evenly. Very satisfied. The problem I’m having is that after 2 uses the grill lid tarnished and this takes away from the aesthetics.

Thank you for your feedback and for choosing a Weber grill. We are sorry for the initial disappointment with the browning on your grill's lid. This looks like smoke staining, and it can be easily cleaned off to restore the shiny, stainless-steel finish.

This grill is awesome. Heats in a flash & is so versatile. Also looks very nice! But the magnet in the door fell down in the door the first day and the door won’t stay closed.
