Its Like Night and Day

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Talk about a big step forward - this was like switching from a loud rumbling horse carriage to a whisper quiet electric vehicle. This review will compare the old and new washer.
As you can see from the photos, this was a big upgrade. The old washer and dryer looks like something from the 80's whereas the new one looks like something from the new millennium. Cosmetically, there's no comparison which one looks better.
The old unit was the old tradition drum washer and made this loud and horrible slushing sound when running. People had difficulty sleeping when it was running. The new washer is super quiet and you could hardly notice it running if someone didn't tell you.
From a capacity standpoint, both the capacity of the washer and dryer in the new stacked unit was almost twice that of the old unit. This means double the amount of laundry could be done in the same amount of time. Big score.
One convenient feature that I really appreciated with this stacked washer and dryer unit is that the controls for BOTH the washer and dryer are accessible n the middle of the unit where everyone could access it. If the washer and dryer were purchased as separate units and stacked with a stacking kit, the controls for the top units would be way up high and hard to reach. This is a major convenience feature for anyone who needs to have a stacked washer and dryer and for height challenged people.
I did encounter one surprise which was that my old stacked washer and dryer unit only needed a single 240V outlet. The new unit had a separate 240V plug for the dryer and separate 110V plug for the washer. So, if you are replacing an old unit like mine, make sure you have accommodating electric outlets nearby or else you will need to hire an electrician to install a separate 110V outlet (like I had to do for mine).
All in all, I am very happy and satisfied with the new unit. Like I said, its like night and day.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Star performer, prepared for laundry room remodel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bespoke AI Laundry Hub is going to be the centerpiece of our transformed laundry room experience. At present and with our first experiences using the hub, we are completely satisfied.
The ease of being able to switch between either washer or dryer controls is wonderful with the other keeping the place where you left off in the programming. Buttons are simple and the knob does the majority of the heavy lifting. Buttons are hidden when not in use and illuminated when available. It is a beautiful application using touch.
The music at end of cycle is a nice little treat and as we have not chosen to customize, expect that we can change it to a little jingle that adds a little smile to our faces.
For cleanliness and water efficiency, we are extremely satisfied. Our old washer and dryer were energy hogs where these are energy misers and water sippers.
Looking forward to many more years of function and completely happy with the 20 year motor warranty.
The build quality is solid and overall operations are quiet. We have yet to test with bulky items but with full loads, the washer and dryer are high performers!
Would recommend to any and all in need of a space saving, high performing washier/dryer combo.

Clean Look, Clean Clothes
on April 17, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am in love with the clean, simple look of this unit. It takes up less space than two separate machines and looks far nicer than your typical stacked set. On top of that, the controls for both the washer and dryer are in the center, where it's easy to reach them-- no stretching on your tip toes to try and get the dryer going.
This has plenty of settings for temp, soil level, dryness level, etc. The display on front shows a number value (1 to 5) for each setting and the screen tells you in plain English what the setting is as you are adjusting it (tap cold, cold, warm, hot, etc.). It's simple, easy to use, easy to understand.
I didn't think I would use the app much, but I'm a convert. Having a notification on my phone reminds me that I have laundry to move over to the dryer or take out and hang up. It keeps me from forgetting anything (it happens!), and also I can keep the loads going when we have laundry piled up from our two boys that needs to be laundered.
My only complaints are pretty minor-- the end cycle chime is unreasonably long (10+ seconds) and you can't change the tune. Minor, but annoying. Also, the whole thing should have been powered off of the larger dryer cord, but instead I have a separate cord/plug for the washer and a separate one for the dryer. I'm not sure why they didn't simplify that.
Regardless, overall, I love it. It looks clean, takes up less space, is quieter than my old washer and dryer, and is easy to use. The wifi/phone app is a great bonus as well. Overall, 5 stars!

Beautiful, high performance washer & dryer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This set is a huge upgrade from my top loading washer and dryer. Being able to connect over WiFi is a bonus, although the song of each cycle is certainly long enough that you won’t miss it (10+ seconds). The set visually looks great and so far is very efficient and washing and drying clothes. The stackable size is great for smaller spaces and was able to fit through my 30" doorway (barely) in the Styrofoam for delivery. My previous washer and dryer were not stackable, so I will eventually need a longer power cord for this dryer in order to place the stackable set exactly where I’d like in my laundry room. If you already have a stackable set that you’re replacing this shorter provided cord will not be an issue. Although the washer and dryer have one power button and display in the front, there are two separate power cords (one for the washer and one for the dryer). A better design would have been to combine these two cords.
Compared to a top loader, this washer appears to be more gentle on my clothes. There are so many settings to choose from to wash whatever fabric you need. I like that you can create custom settings that you use commonly to make it faster to start your load. The noise level when washing is fairly quiet, but I will need to work on not trying to add too many clothes. The set comes with the sandpaper pads to help prevent the set from moving if you have an uneven load.
My only complaint is after each wash cycle there is a decent amount of water sitting in the rubber edge. I use a dry cloth to clean up this water and leave the door open after each wash cycle to dry and to try and prevent mold growth or smell. The washer light will turn off after a few minutes of having the door open, which is nice.
The dryer also has very efficient capability. It can dry a standard, larger load in under an hour. There are also numerous settings of dryness for every type of fabric, dryness level, and heat level desired.
I only complaint with the dryer so far is that you need to dry bulk items like towels and bedding separate from clothes in order for these to fully dry. It seems that my bulky items when drying tend to concentrate in the middle throughout the cycle, so the outside clothes are sensed at my desired drying level and the cycle indicates it is complete, yet the bulky items in the center are still wet. I’ve had to remove the dry clothes and then go in to a dry these bulky items separately.

Impressive Review of a Washer and Dryer Set
on April 19, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely thrilled with my new washer and dryer set! These machines are absolute powerhouses when it comes to cleaning and drying clothes. The washer's advanced features make laundry a breeze, effortlessly tackling even the toughest stains. And the dryer? It's a lifesaver, cutting down both time and energy consumption, which is fantastic for my budget.
The touchscreen interface. A dream to use. It's so intuitive, I barely have to think about it. And don't even get me started on the super-speed wash and dry option. It's like magic – getting a thorough clean in under an hour is a game-changer for busy folks like me. Plus, being able to control everything from my phone thanks to the Wi-Fi connectivity. It's convenience at its finest.
But the real cherry on top is the SmartThings App. It's like having a personal assistant for all my smart devices, including these appliances. Managing everything from one place is a dream come true. Oh, and let's not forget about the Vibration Reduction Technology – it's a game-changer for keeping things quiet, especially in shared living spaces.
And the Flex Auto Dispense feature. Genius. No more guessing how much detergent to use – it does it all for me, saving time and reducing waste. And those AI Optiwash and AI Optimal Dry technologies. Mind-blowing. The fact that they use artificial intelligence to tailor cycles for the best results? It's like having a laundry guru built right into my appliances.
Overall, I couldn't be happier with these appliances. They've made laundry day a breeze, giving me more time to focus on the things that truly matter. If you're in the market for new washer and dryer, do yourself a favor and check these out – you won't be disappointed!

Option Packed but Simple to Use
on April 26, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got to really put this unit to the test after a house guest left after a 2 week stay. My laundry had piled up pretty good and the guest bedroom bedding needed to be washed so this unit really got a workout. I am happy to report that I was overall impressed.
The small stackable unit is just large enough to handle a queen-sized comforter in the wash and dryer, although it did require me repositioning the comforter during the dry cycle in order to get it completely dry. It cleaned the comforter very well without damaging it on the “bedding cycle”.
Next up where several different cycles of regular clothes and delicates. The simple dial in the middle controls both wash and dry once the desired unit is selected. With a simple turn of the dial the unit will adjust the settings accordingly. Once the wash cycle is complete, the unit automatically selects the appropriate/matching dry cycle based on what was selected for the wash so all you have to do is select go. Of course you don’t have to use the recommended cycle, you can just twist to select something different. Very easy and intuitive to use. Clothes can out clean and where not over dried pretty quick. We only use Tide Pods so I can’t really attest to the use of different detergents in the detergent loading tray.
The unit connects to the Samsung Smart Things app very easily. I found it very convenient for receiving completion alerts when I wasn’t near the unit. The app also allows you to create custom wash cycles for specialized loads if needed. Overall a very good small stackable unit that gives you all the functions of the larger separate units. I recommend it.

Slick combo!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is one slick combo of washer and dryer - a tower that saves space, easy to operate and take care of all washing needs of a family. Initially, we were apprehensive about buying such a large appliance online and that too a new product. But, it was too good an opportunity to pass up and so we pulled the trigger, and waited! So, was it worth it? oh yes! Read on to read more about our experience from delivery to living with it now below:
Eventually, few weeks after the order, the day of delivery arrived and our anticipation was high. What made it more fun was some drama with dryer cable turning out to be short for our needs. After a rushed trip to get a bigger cable and figuring out how to install a dryer cable, got it working later that evening.
First impressions were positive. It looks stunning! clean cut white minimalist look. gone was the clutter of many buttons on separate washer and dryer, and replaced by one simple panel with one dial to do it all. The finish in front is classy, size perfect for family, and the steel drums glistening! Moreover, this tower unit saves space. it freed up space in our laundry room that we can now do something with. Plans for those are still in works.
Now, to the actual washing and drying. First thing we noticed was the unit being quite sturdy. During operation, it stays grounded and doesn't jump around. We were wondering how a stacked tower would do but those concerns were put to rest. It's easy to figure out all options and use the machine. Both washing and drying are relatively quiet.
There are couple of things we wish could have been better: Since lint filter is hinged, we will have to see how much lint does escape and what maintenance that chamber will require. Another is, during wash, we notice some clicks like (?) sounds. But, is quieter than our older washer so don't see it as a major issue.
Overall, easy 4.5/5 and would recommend to friends and family.
