False labeling…

I bought this two weeks ago, and just like some other reviewers, I bought it because it specifically said it fit spirit 300 series grills. It does not. And it’s not even close. Can’t say how disappointed I am. This was literally a meal the whole family was looking forward to and now it’s ruined. I can’t fix it because whenever I search for the proper insert it brings me right back here.

Your feedback is very important to us. The full-size Rust-Resistant Griddle Insert is compatible with the older Spirit 3-burner models and the recent Spirit 4-burner models. The griddle insert compatible with the smaller Spirit grills is part number 7658, and the Weber Crafted griddle insert (requires Weber Crafted frame kit). I hope this information helps. Too small for Genesis S300

I bought a year ago. Not ideal.
I have a 2016 Genesis S330 and it’s too small to sit on the ledge of the cook tub (the ledges the grates sit on).
So I have to place it on top of the grates to keep it level and the lid doesn’t close completely. But I can cook with it. Again not ideal.
Is there a add-on “hanger-ledge” to allow it to fit into the tub?

At first it struck me as a little pricey so I waited for it to go on sale. When it arrived I could see the quality matched the price. It is pretty heavy and well made. It is like having a second grill. The only down side is it does take the entire surface of the grill (we have the base size smoker, not the XL). It would be nice to have a little area where I could grill something on the grates for the side but this is certainly not a show stopper.
I would recommend this to a friend!
