Great little motivator

I upgraded from my older Edge 530, and this has been a great upgrade. Aside from the buttons and touch control, the automatic Climb Pro is one of the great new features of this series. I have also had better luck with this unit keeping ANT+ from dropping, and minor inconvenience that plagued the 530. I'm using this on 3 bikes, and couldn't be happier. It's a worthwhile upgrade from the x30 series.

I have not used a cycling computer in a few years as I was relying on my Apple Watch for data. I decided to go back to using the cycling computer and the 840 is just the ticket! I love having the important data that I monitor during my ride right up front and very visible. It was easy to set up. Although, I’m still learning how to use it. Admittedly, the instructions were a bit sparse on how to use the device but I’m figuring it out!

I was completely happy with my Edge 810 and didn't think I needed a new computer. I'm so glad I decided to get the Edge 840. It has surprised me with so many available features. My favorite new feature is the ClimbPro. The map shows where I'm at in the climb and color coded for difficulty to help me regulate pace, and during hill repeats I can see how my times compare. Was I faster spinning or mashing?? Great feedback! So many additional features I plan to use for some upcoming Fondos in Canada...like Alerts for fueling. Very happy with my Edge 840!

My wahoo roam had a little accident and needs to replace it did a research on the garmin and hammerhead , I am glad I got the 840, the features for me are amazing. Good job!
