Best computer all around

I got the 830 a month ago, did 4 rides of >60miles. Great connectivity to gps, screens are intuitive. All sensors connected easily traffic radar, power meter, lights, cadance and hart rate monitor… like the danger alerts and hill alerts

Garmin Edge 840

Upgraded from the Edge 530. The computer was easy to setup and pair with my sensors. In the past I was concerned about using a touch screen but now I'm hooked. My favorite feature is the ClimbPro. Battery life is great - especially considering all of functions I'm using on the 840.

Tried out the 830 for a bit and this one has some enhanced features. One of my favorites-being able to control music from it. Gotta keep rides fun.

So far like the climb feature. Adding buttons makes the 840 complete, use in all conditions, gloves etc. Only problem so far is one restart during a ride. The computer just turned off and restsarted by itself. When it restarted it asked me if I wanted to finish the ride. The computer recovered my position and continued routing the ride but it did not reord any further ride data. Overall I really like the computer but Garmin needs to update the firmware to continue recording data once the gps has resynced.

This is my 4th Garmin Edge, I started with the 800 then 810 830 now 840. The feature I appreciate the most is the ability to upgrade and transfer settings from my previous Edge to to my new edge computer. The reason I upgrade is because I wanted the daily suggested workout feature. So far it is exactly what I wanted.

I'm still getting used to all the functionalities but almost my whole club uses Garmin with the exception of a few! It provides so much information that its overwhelming but excited to get the hang of it as time progresses. I'm glad i made the switch:)
