Garmin continues to add features to its computers with each iteration. I've already used for a dozen rides. The battery life is excellent, the touch screen is responsive and the interface is the best yet. I really like the new climb feature. The setup was really easy with the ability to transfer from my 530 my profiles and sensors. I would highly recommend this computer!
I've really liked the computer/head unit so far. Setting it up and pairing it with my power meter and Di2 was easy as it just captured what was already set up on my Edge 520+. The climb pro thing is kinda cool, but I had to dial it back to just large climbs, otherwise it was beeping at me non stop with climb notifications. In fact initially the computer was constantly beeping at me for different things: climbs, distance markers, hr zones, power zones, etc. I had to spend some time figuring out how to get all those beeps to go away. I debated about going solar or regular opted for regular as the battery life is pretty long anyway. Happy with my choice. It is bigger than my 520+. I really liked the size and look of the 520+ I actually wish this looked more like that. Probably would not have upgraded but the 520+ but it wasn't holding battery longer than 7hrs anymore and to get it to go longer I had to deactivate all the things: HR, Power, Di2, etc. This one is nice as all the things can be connected and battery life is so long I've gotten out of my hobbit of charging regularly. A lot of the training metrics and features are also nice. Haven't had that much feedback on my data before, so it will be interesting to see if I can find value in it.
I live in Atlanta, GA and there are so many great things this Garmin does for me like warns me of busy streets and tells me when I’m approaching big hills or where I am on that hill. The device is super easy to use and the perfect size for me.
Cannot sync or find garmin live help. Am I the only one? I think I should return

I had an 830, which did the job. My biggest issue is that it was often laggy when it came to either tracking your location or updating your course if you went off your pre-planned route. The 840 updates much, much more quickly. The "auto-climb mode" for anything is very nice and immediately amps up any ride. Yeah, and USB-C for the win!
