Worth the upgrade from the 830

Updated screen layout like the 1040, buttons to navigate instead of using touchscreen is great, footprint of device and additional data are just some of the benefits upgrading. Very happy!

I accidently dropped my 530 a month ago and purchased the 840. Every setting, home screen, sensors, etc. transferred seamlessly. The touch screen is a very nice upgrade.

Awesome quality from a reliable brand

I bought this to replace my previous Edge 530 after it bit the dust (literally), and have been pleasantly enjoying the quality of this upgrade! The features are intuitive enough to adapt from the previous model, while the new features are a joy to use! I've been pleasantly surprised by how easy the touch screen is to use, even while wearing gloves, in the rain, etc. It's a little pricey, but I'd still recommend this over any other cycling computer out there!

Loving my 840

I bought this a little over a month ago, so far really happy with the purchase. Great battery life. Seamless transition between my old edge 520 to this with the Garmin Connect app. The 840 instantly recognized my eTap system and integrated it into displays automatically. Learning all the new screens but has been well worth it with added features!!

It’s a nice and useful tool! However I’ve not been able to use all the features (climb pro for example) because where I live (Colombia) the maps are not uploaded, besides that! It’s quite amazing!
