While early morning hours, all cameras work, most hours only 4-5 or the 8 cameras show up. Extended antennas seem to help a little, with my stone house. Great camera resolution.

The range of the blue tooth was very limited. Did not make it 50' out side of home with system set up on second floor. Also, it is required to be connected to the internet for even the phone also connected to blue tooth to monitor. It will record and one can hardwire via HDMI to a monitor, but not view on a connected smart device.

When using this antenna on the NVR itself I find no difference on the signal strength displayed on the monitor for my cameras that are 250 feet to 290 feet from the NVR. In fact my furthest camera from the NVR drops out when using the extender antenna. I have placed the antenna in multiple positions with no performance improvement. I have connected the extended antenna to my Shop Cam and found no improvement regards to performance. What I have found is that the orientation of the antennas that come with the NVR and cameras is critical to system performance on cameras located beyond 250 feet. Cameras located within the house parameters work excellent with the antennas provided with the system. I intend to try the external antenna on my camera located the furthest away from the NVR and see what happens. If there is an improvement I will have to MacGyver a housing for it since extender is for sheltered use only.

Functions well but 9' is pretty short for this application. If you need more range having the expectation that changing the placement of an antenna by 9' and it solving your problem is only reasonable in a few very specific scenarios. I wonder if someone else sells an extension cord or something.

I have old 2016 and 2019 wired Night Owl systems. The settings in the DVR are amazing when looking via a monitor. I can play, fast forward (16X), fast back (16x) , skip forward, and skip back. These new systems, there is only play and fast forward (8x). NO skip ahead. On my old system, when I have it on 16x, I can also manually jump head with a mouse to any point in the timeline and it stays on 16x. This one, the no skip ahead is annoying but when I have it on 8x and manually try to jump ahead with the mouse, it turns off the 8x so if your looking for something, your continuously having to click the fast button over and over and over....cameras are a step up from my 720p cameras but the NVR is back in the 90s. If you didn't know the old system, you wouldn't know what your missing with the new system. I think I'll buy new wired cameras and use the old DVRs.

To be totally honest, it's been touch and go. I r&I'd the antenna about a week and a half ago. At first it had trouble marrying the base unit. It lasted until a thunderstorm hit. The signal came back with no adjustments in about 6 hours. Overall, a few hiccups. My only option, I'll keep it.
