How far do you have the camera from your recorder or router? This camera cannot exceed 300 ft. with line of sight. The more obstacles between the camera and base, the shorter that range will be. The actual DVR and cameras work great. The app is the worst creation ever made. It takes over 30 minutes to obtain access. If we were truly being robbed or in danger, we would learn of it from the app after the perpetrator was in another country. It’s really disappointing because the camera quality and durability is great, the ap needs to be trashed and started from scratch.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is the second of this model that I've purchased for our church. The only issue is that I was told they would play well together and there are a couple cameras that are no longer showing up on the first one. I'm going to try to move them to the second one and see if that solves the problem.

We studied offerings from other companies and decided to go with this one. We appreciated the expandability this system offered and the price wasn't bad either. This system us as close to plug and play as I believe one can get. We like that the storage is onsite. However, I do wish there was printed literature giving the purpose of each connection on the back of the DVR. The user interface and video options could be better, but all on all, this is a good system.

Ran into a range problem with one of my cameras, and while searching online for a solution, I discovered Night Owen had me covered, and at a very reasonable price. This antenna got me the range I needed. Quick to install in any orientation using the magnetic base. One star off as I would have preferred white to match the camera and power cord color.
