Does not scan from the top loader, it eats all my papers. Printer has a big scuff mark on the top. Does not look new.

It sounds like the scanning trouble you’ve seen is happening at the document feeder. If so, I recommend you follow a guide on our support site to feeders that pull through too many pages at once or fail to pick up any paper at all. Regarding the scuff mark on the top of the printer, that does present a concern. I can’t say for sure what happened in your situation, but what you describe can occur when a printer is sold, returned to the seller, then sold again to a different buyer without being adequately inspected before shipment.

I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies – and that warranty extends to two years with an HP+ account – so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. I'm really loving this printer so far! The only reason I can't give it a full five star rating is because it constantly loses connection with my WIFI. I have to unplug it and plug it back in or delete it from my devices and re-enter it for the WIFI to connect again. However, the smart HP printing works all the time. which is fine with me because that's all I use anyway! A little bonus is the fun sounds the printer makes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This printer is the best printer I have seen within the walls of this company and HP Products. This printer is not heavy or too bulky and the many functions allow any company to stay in house with all their needs. When I was asked to review it i thought it would be another boring adventure but I am totally in shock. The extra ink program is a plus because most printers don't have that option and it saves time and money. I would highly recommend this product to any small business because its small and suits all your needs. AAA+++

Simply download the HP Smart app to either your smart phone/iPad or your PC/Mac and follow the step by step directions.You do not have to sign up to the HP Instant Ink program to setup this printer. Simply decline the offer when it is offered during the setup process. It is very helpful if you use a bunch of ink or have problems getting ink. You do need to be connected to the internet to setup this printer. I print and scan documents quite a bit. And this printer does not disappoint, it gets the job done quick. It prints quickly and good quality, color ink is bright and black ink is bold. I highly recommend this product...
