Very pleased with my new HP printer. It's a sleek design with a pretty small footprint compared to most printers on the market. It prints well but what I love most about HP printers is the Instant Ink program. This is my 2nd HP printer because of the program.
Not as good as previously owned Envy 4650. Light does not turn off automatically and page catcher does not extend automatically. Overall a more awkward machine. Buttons more cryptic. Envy 4650 much more intuitive. But so far prints good copies.
If there is a problem, there is no screen to tell you what is wrong. You have to get the pamphlet out to see what each color is for. Pictures were better on my 4 year old HP printer than on this one.

Hi, Janet.
I’m sorry that your printer has rendered prints of substandard quality, and that you’ve found it difficult to use. I can wholly understand why this would be a puzzling and frustrating combination. I want to help you improve print quality and get the device working to your satisfaction, so I’ll offer some resources I hope will reach that goal.
First, I recommend following the steps listed in a guide on our support site to improving print quality, including faded or streaked prints, color or black ink not printing properly or at all, and blurred or fuzzy text. Find that guide here: - support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06543527
To learn more about your printer and all its features, or for help solving problems, you can access user manuals, how-to documents, troubleshooting guides and software updates here: - support.hp.com/us-en/product/model/2100187516
If any problem persists, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find a solution. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number - Serial number - Your location - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies – and that warranty extends to two years with an HP+ account – so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: - support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty
OK these wired printers don't work well. It took hours to set it up. The next few days always a problem It goes offline, I get messages Scanner isn't activated. They reput in all the drivers the next day after 3 hours setting it up. THen the fax didn't work. Had to get supv on phone to put in proper settings. These machines are better wired where they always worked and took 20 minutes to set up
Although the printer was installed properly it has been inconsistent in the printing, sometimes not printing and sometimes suddenly printing hours later. Today it’s working fine. I have followed instructions to unplug, wait and plug again (both printer and wall plug) and it helped…. For a while! If this continues I’ll return the darn thing!
