[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago and have been very pleased so far. I have not had an opportunity to use the scan feature as yet, but otherwise it is exactly what we needed. It is being used as a home printer primarily for grad school assignments.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not very much ink is placed in the box at purchase. Prints fine. The colors are great. Its versatile and does what I purchased it for.
One thing about HP is the difficulty with hooking up the Instant Ink. The printer is on a shared network with another HP printer. One network two shared by two departments that each need to pay for their respective printer. The Insta Ink only recognizes one paye and will not let me have two accounts cause its the same network....
I cannot believe, after 30+ years, a product could still be SO BAD.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installing the printer-scanner was a nightmare. Not the printing feature, but the scanner. And HP does not provide any phone contact to help resolve problems. This is inexusable. The printer works nicely. But in order to get the scanner working, I ended up getting diverted to an intermediary who I assumed was subcontracted by HP. Come to find out they weren't but they convinced me the reason the scanner wasn't working was because my laptop had some malware. IF HP HAD CUSTOMER SUPPORT, I NEVER WOULD HAVE BEEN SCAMMED. Shame on you.

I've had several other HP printers, and this is the only one with issues related to setup. Good printer once set up!
