I bought this a couple of months ago. Good for basic printing. After 2 months, the machine decided to go offline and couldn't connect to internet. After several hours with Tech support from HP, they got it online. They also tried to get me going using the document feeder. The document feeder is very touchy. On my old HP printer I had no difficulty using the feeder. This one is touch and go. When I have time I am going to call HP again to see if anything can be done. Documents sometimes go through and sometimes they just sit there in the feeder. Doesn't matter if it is just copying or scanning, document feeder is touchy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there.
I’m sorry to learn that you’ve had such a difficult time with your printer. It’s no surprise that you’re exasperated, considering you dealt with the printer-offline problem only to discover that the document feeder is performing unreliably. I want to help you resolve this situation, so I’ll direct you to some resources I hope will accomplish that goal.
First, I recommend you follow the steps in this guide to document feeders that fail to pick up any paper or pull through too many pages at once: - support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01728503
If the feeder continues to be touchy, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and determine what can be done. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number - Serial number - Your location - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies – and that warranty extends to two years with an HP+ account – so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: - support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty
Having no wired connection to my home computer, allowed for easy connection to my wifi. I also continued my Instant Ink program from my replaced printer. Other than a few paper jams, this printer is fast and accurate. Will be using this printer for years as I did my previous HP.
The ink ran out very quickly. The part that holds the ejected copies is very flimsy and can break easily. I like that the printer itself is lightweight.
