[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago to replace my Canon printer which wore out. The Envoy prints quickly. I did need to remove the software and reinstall once when it stopped working. The photos are not as good as the Canon printer but are adequate. The ink cartridges are finicky to install
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought around Christmas time and have used it about 25 times so far. I’m still on the starter ink! Replacement ink seems reasonable cost-wise and the quality of prints is good. The blue ready light is a nice touch and there have been zero issues with connectivity.
Having used HP printers for many years, I was highly disappointed by the showing of this printer. I simply could not get it to work with my Windows 10 program and have since returned it and replaced it with an Officejet Pro 8025 with much better success.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It took me days to connect to internet. The printer was different from other hp printers I have had. Instructions on hp sites were confusing and often contradictory. HP app is primitive.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there.
I’m sorry to hear that your printer was so difficult to set up and connect, and that you’ve not been satisfied with the software. I can easily understand why this – plus confusing and contradictory instructional materials – would make for a frustrating start to owning a new printer. With that in mind, I’ll suggest some resources that I hope will help you get the printer reliably connected and working like it should.
First, I recommend you visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various issues, including setup and wireless connectivity. There you’ll also find a general-purpose tool called the HP Print and Scan Doctor. If you use Windows, the tool will help identify and guide you through solutions to a wide range of common printing and scanning difficulties. Visit that page here: - support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics
If you still need it, you can also find a setup tutorial specific to your printer as well as user manuals, how-to documents, troubleshooting guides and software updates on our support site here: - support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-envy-pro-6400-all-in-one-printer-series/29256678/model/29256679
If any problem persists, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find a solution. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number - Serial number - Your location - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cannot turn on auto-off or sleep mode (settings says they are turned on). Platen light stays on 24/7 unless you turn off power from the rear of the unit. Instructions in HP manual are confusing / do not work. Go to Embedded Web Service, then settings - does not work.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased my printer specifically for school and for home printing. The set up was easy, and I had no problems connecting to my laptop or the wifi! It prints quick and it isn't loud either.
