Got the Envy 6455e about 2 months ago and have used it quite a bit for my weekly Bible Study group, printing & copying materials for 10+ members (sometimes more or less). Never a problem! Also have it for personal use. Definitely worth it.
Now that the printer is set up and working, I like it. But it took me a week to figure it out, and a computer expert coming over to see what was wrong. I could print from the printer, but not from the computer. I worked on it every day for a week, and I was super frustrated. Finally, a friend who taught computer class at the college level came over. When I pressed print, only PDF would come up. He showed me that all I had to do is click on the window with PDF, and Print would drop down. Now it works. It was that simple, but nowhere in the instructions do you address that. I was ready to send it back, and it was a simple fix.
I bought my printer 2 weeks ago the first problem was a ink cartridge leeks I got a replacement yesterday I was on the phone for about 3 hours with a very friendly and helpful young lady after all we did try to get the printer connected to my computer she found out that I would need USB Cable to get the printer working I HP printer 4500 that I had before was always connected to my computer I had to replace the printer it was getting to old I do need more help to solve this issue otherwise as much as I like the printer I have to return it
Poorly designed. The on/off switch is a tiny, recessed thing in the BACK of the printer. There is no display screen on the front, where the shut off should be.
I keep my printer turned off when I'm not using it because I print rarely and it uses a LOT of electricity when it's on. So I have to get down on the floor to turn it on and off, which is ridiculous.
i wnet thru set upand when i tryed to load paper, it would not work beyoud that point
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there.
I’m sorry to hear that your printer stopped working during the setup process. It’s easy to understand why that would be a jarring surprise for a new printer, so I’ll suggest a resource and some information I hope will help.
I can’t tell from your review why your printer stopped working, so I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find a solution. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number - Serial number - Your location - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty
I am pleased with the 6 month free ink program so far . The new printer prints well . I have had some issues with the printer lately . It goes off line a lot . I have to unplug power cord then replug it in then it works again . Also it prints 2 sided . But with out a screen & info window like my old printer I am not sure how to copy on 2 sides . I hope the issues are just learning pains . just frustrated a bit with new HP ENVY6455e . I purchased product with advice it was easier to use .
