Hi there.
I’m sorry you’ve run into difficulty with your printer’s usability. I can’t tell from your brief review what specific issues you’ve encountered, but your disappointment is clear. I want to help you resolve whatever complications you face, so I’ll suggest some resources aimed at making that happen.
First, to learn more about your printer and all its features, or for help solving problems, you can access the main user manual, how-to documents, software updates and troubleshooting guides here: - support.hp.com/us-en/product/model/2100187516
You can also visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various tasks and issues, including setup, cartridge installation, print quality and connectivity. There you’ll also find a general-purpose tool called the HP Print and Scan Doctor. If you use Windows, the tool will help identify and guide you through solutions to a wide range of common printing and scanning issues. Visit that page here: - support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics
If there's any specific way that we can help you, I hope you’ll get in touch with us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess what’s happening and find the best course of action. To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number - Serial number - Your location - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
It doesn't work with my work computer as I cannot download the HP Smart software. And my Microsoft store is not letting me download HP Smart either. So, I guess I cannot use this printer.
Problems started at set up. It took me a night and Sat morning to get the WiFi to connect. I still don't know what it's issue is. Then there's the lack of labeling for the lights and buttons. Unforgivable design faults. But once connected it does a good job printing and scanning.
blue light says on all the time. not sure if unit is off like some web info says. To really turn off button in back. not good. If you want to use USB connection it is a pain to get to work without using phone app. Can be done but you have to pretty smart to do it. Would not buy again.
Although the sales literature points out that the Scan feature goes up to 1200 ppi, scanning using the auto feeder is limited to 300 ppi. Had I known this, I would not have purchased this printer. Also, setup was less than automatic.
