Doesn't recognize my HP ink cartridges and keeps disconnecting from the Internet
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

HP Envy 6455e: I returned it as to many problems • the power switch is in the back and hard to reach • it is noisy • have to babysit printing as it will frequently cut off the bottom of one page and print it on the next page--all in messy print • would double print a page on the same page • frequent paper jams • control panel is next to useless • it would indicate it is out of paper, open tray that did have paper in it and shut it and then it would print more • can only tell it to print a maximum of 9 copies at a time
Good machine for personal use. Does not hold a lot of paper so not a good substitute for a larger laser printer for printer that print a lot of pages. This is more of an occasional use printer.
It's not a bad printer though it takes some getting use too, I liked my previous printer better with the control panel on the outside and an auto feed when faxing or scanning
