Absolute JOKE!

Everything went together fine UNTIL we went to attach the shovel head. My wife and I (2) people couldn’t get it seated on all the way! I even used WD-40... a whirlwind of obscenities filled the air trying to assemble this 3rd grade level shovel assembly( I thought). I may have to file a lawsuit for tearing my rotator cuff putting this pile together!!!

Fantastic snowblower, even worked in hardpack

The snowblower is awesome, I will never buy a gas snow blower again. Put the batteries in, squeeze the handle and go. It even goes through the hard pack at the top of the driveway where the snow plow left a pile. I made a YouTube video of me using it

Issues starting the machine

First time out- the machine ran great. Second time I tried to use it- put the batteries in and tried to start it. It started to run and then stopped after a few seconds and started 'beeping". I fiddled with everything I could think of, skid plates, reinserting batteries etc. After about 10 minutes it started running normally. Third time I tried to use it- exact same situation, and on the 4th. Called Snow Joe to ask them what the beeping indicated since I didn't see anything in the manual about it. No one could tell me why it beeped or what it indicated. When I can actually get it to start and run- its great. Not enjoying the 10 minute trial and error to get it to actually run and the lack of explanation about why it beeps and how to resolve it. I have a fear each snowfall that I might not actually be able to get it started when I need it.

This Blower Does the Job!

I ordered this model 2 weeks ago and the timing couldn't be better. We had our first major snowstorm in two years in Central Jersey. I can verify that this model works as good as the better gas models even in wet snow. I also ordered two backup batteries because I was concerned that I would run out of power before the job was done. That did not happen because the machine is powerful and efficient. I am pleased with my purchase and am ready the next time it snows.

Cut through over 2’ of snow like a beast! Powerfu!

We owned the previous 80 volt model iON and were very pleased. We bought this one and it arrived just in time for the monster snowstorm nor’easter of 2021. Assembly was a piece of cake, 2 bolts and 2 more with wing nuts for the handle. Easy to use, loads of power! See the attached video of it cutting through well over 2’ of snow. Good battery run time, I did our whole driveway and walkway. Best parts, no smell! No gas or oil issues, didn’t have to go to town to get gas. I was able to recharge the batteries quick then go out for the next round of snow. The only thing I would change is the chute controls, they feel a bit like a work in progress.

Broken on its inaugural run

Has anyone else had the drive break on first use?
I was elated to receive it a week earlier than forecasted and just in time for a snow storm today.
Took it on its inaugural run and noticed the body of the unit kinda drifts back and forth on the axle. Tried using it but I guess one wheel drifted and got stuck under the body and the drive for the wheels stopped working. You can hear it wind up and turn but no action to the wheels.
Light enough to push and the auger works great but the axle drift caused the drive gears to break.
Guess I'm making a phone call tomorrow.

Great even in wet snow

Got the snow blower last month and got it assembled back then, went together easily though it would have been nice if they had mentioned the hardware was in the battery compartment, I spent about 5 mins looking thru all the packing material for the hardware before checking in there. Finally got my first use today, extremely wet saturated slush, about 8" deep at the end of the driveway, my old 5hp gas snow blower couldn't clear the heavy wet slush like that at all, it would just clog, bog down, and stall, this however went thru it with ease, I'm extremely impressed with it. I cleared my 4 car driveway and sidewalk and when I took the batteries out they were still at 3/4 charge.
There are a few things I did note though, the quality of the plastic holding the clean out tool is poor, the tabs snapped the first time I pulled it off in the cold temperature outside. While the auger speed control I guess is nice for battery life, I found more confusion with it as I kept mistaking it for the speed control level as the aren't well marked, there are raised symbols, but they are the same color as the the surrounding area so no contrast and hard to see when it's dark out, though that's something in time you'll remember so not a huge issue.
My one real complaint is how the handles work, the safety lever on the auger control is annoying and the locking of the auger and drive lever is backwards from any other snow blower I've used, when you press the auger and drive levers down the drive is now locked down, meaning if you hit a heavy patch of snow you can't just let go of drive lever and let the auger clear, you have to let go of the auger and have the whole device stop, then press just the auger again, it works, just annoying, my guess is they did it that way so you can control the chute while moving.
All in all though I'm very happy with my purchase, it will be so nice not having to deal with filling up gas, gas going bad, dealing with disposing it, dealing with all the maintenance and hassle of keeping a small gas engine running well, just pop the batteries in and go, and it's so much quieter on top of it all.

Works great for 20 min then runs out of juice...

You will absolutely need extra batteries, as the 2 it comes with will only run for 20 min then its back to charging the batteries. Over all a mixed bag... It does run great but needs bigger batteries
