Awesome Technic Build

Overall the build was fun and challenging, and there were no stickers. Two printed tiles were a plus. The only downside is the use of visible color pieces, when looking at the set you can see red, orange, yellow, blue, and even lime green. The minifigs were wonderful, but the Lady Jessica has limited functionality as the bottom half is molded brick into a dress shape.
I would love to see a set for Dune II, even if it is simpler. I would love to see minifigs for Princess Irulan, the Emperor, and Stilgar, and it would be nice to have a nameplate similar to some of the Star Wars display sets.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Jaw dropping design! Great for Technic fans too!

I'm generally a Technic builder but picked this up because I heard it had alot of Technic mechanisms. It was designed by legendary designer Mike Psiaki and does not fail to amaze! An art meshing of Technic and System combine to create a beautiful work of art, that works artfully! Swooshability factor 10!!! I have only one nitpick--this set looks 100 times better without all the red parts in the wings. I have surplus at home so replacing the axles and hitch balls was no problem.

Though i wish this was more of a system build model, i'm still super happy with the build being a fan of technic sets. also, the wing flapping mechanism is just amazing and inspired.

Amazing Ornithopter Experience

Hats off to the ICON Design team for creating this unique build and toy. As an admirer of Frank Herbert’s books since high school and now with the remake of his story in the new DUNE 1 & 2, this build/toy was a true joy to make and experience. Minifigs are awesome too. Love the Baron!

Great build. The landing gear is very neat. It looks amazing displayed and the mechanism to deploy the wings is very satisfying. The minis are very well done, the Baron being particularly hilarious, floating the same height as the ornithopter. Great display piece. Very sturdy. I hope more Dune kits come out.

I don’t know where to start but I am so glad that it came with all those minifigures to add more to the set for the price it is retailed for. I am so happy that the designers did not work to add a full interior but instead gave it legit, very intricate functions to make it do all it does. This is why it is my favorite Lego set because it was pretty challenging to build and very intricate when it comes to building the working functions of the wings and landing gear. Thank you so much Lego!!!!!

Fantastic set

I have built hundreds of Lego sets. This is truly an amazing build and is extremely technical. You need to be very careful that the orientation of each brick is correct. The engineering that must of went into the functionality of this set is incredible. It is a great mix of technic and system building and it’s not too much of either. Overall, I cannot recommend this set highly enough if you are looking for a challenging and very enjoyable build. Don’t pass on this one its magic!!

The bricks must flow

This thing is incredible. One of the most satisfying Lego builds I've ever experienced, really only rivaled by the Saturn V. The mechanisms are smart, and one feels smart while building them. It's an impressive model and very sturdy, very "swooshable". I'm not worried about parts falling off and can zoom this thing around with my sons' Lego ships. I particularly like how the wings sweep back. It feels very smooth and looks awesome as it transitions.
