I thought it would be an improvement over the last one I had, which had blue chart g3. It is not an improvement in this aspect and is now very cumbersome and frustrating to use.
To be honest I’m really not a fan. I do not feel the sonar is telling that fish are really there . But it’s what came with the boat. So I did not expect much. I’m getting ready to upgrade now to a much better machine with either side view or forward facing. Maybe even both, but I’m not sure if that’s in my budget. I have used Garmin products before, and my new machine might end up being another garmin . So many out there to choose from! It’s kind of confusing!
While the unit is working well, here are a couple of improvements that I'd love to see. - WIFI connectivity to the boat network's existing network. - Allow the Chartplotter to download satellite information from the network to allow rapid location synchronization. (We use the chartplotter on our tender, and due to the significant distance between uses, the GPS sync currently takes a very long time)
I purchased this item and experienced tremendous problems getting it set up. A great example of this is the SD card. Apparently this SD card doesn’t come with the item when purchased which is extremely confusing and make it very difficult it use your products
I bought this for mainly depth reference for my coaner in the back. It’s pretty much the same as my 93sv and 126sv’s but not touch screen. Has good sharpness and it networks with my other echomap graphs.
