Terrific machine

I had an older brother copier and the new model has a lot of new features that makes my work so much easier. Scanning documents is terrific and I can do it wireless from different computers. Print quality is clean and looks great. Price is very reasonable. Thank you very much for a wonderful product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, this is a fast and sharp printer that has everything a small business would need for black and white printing. It was a breeze to set up and print wirelessly with my laptop and desktop. It takes up a decent-sized space (you would need a separate printer stand or table since it is too big to be on the same desk as a computer workstation) but what it takes up in size it more than makes up in performance. I received this product in exchange for my honest opinion.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a complimentary Brother MFC-L5705DW printer, scanner, fax system to review. Overall, this unit was extremely easy to set up from the get go. The unit was packaged well; and delivered without any issues from UPS. Upon opening the safely packaged unit, the directions were bold, clear and easy to follow. The drum unit/toner cartridge was already pre-installed. We simply connected to the outlet, followed the machine touch screen direction. From opening of the package to first print, it took less than 10 minutes. The quality of the printing was top notch. I highly recommend this unit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a free printer to review and I must say that I did not know what to expect as this was my first exposure to using the brother brand. Unpacking the printer and setting it up was very easy. I loved that the directions included was short, simple to the point. It took 15 minutes to have it up and running with the test print being very clear.
In terms of functions, everything you need to do is right in front of you, you can even create shortcuts for some tasks, Who doesn't like to save time?
The only thing I wish it had was color printing, with color printing, it would be one of the best ones I have seen for its size.

The printer body is two toned black. Unboxing was easy and setting the printer up is simple. It has a good sized 3.7 inch color touch screen. It scans, copies and prints duplex and does it all quietly and quickly. It does have WIFI and ethernet capabilities.
In my testing it printed 41 pages per minute of simple text. The scanner was very good for text documents and general documents.
It only prints in Monochrome. The scanner will scan in color and scans both sides of a page at the same time. The main paper try only holds 250 sheets.
Overall I'm happy with this printer. It's fast, quiet has a large toner cartridge, prints duplex and has a good scanner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a free sample Brother Mfc-5705dw, multifunction monotone laser, printer to test out in my business and post a product review of my experience. I have been using this printer for close to two weeks now and overall I am pleased with it’s performance. The initial setup was simple and straight forward; each component in the box was individually labeled with instructions as to what to do with it. The paper tray is quite large and holds enough paper so that I’m having to refill it frequently. The print quality is great; no lines, faded areas, or smearing. It’s also super fast at making copies! There is a document feeder on the top or you can lift the top to scan and/or copy directly from the glass. It comes with the standard driver disc to install software on your windows or Mac computer. Brother also has a mobile app that can be downloaded from the App Store for iPhone/iPad or Google Play store for android users; this app allows you to print directly from your device. I have been extremely satisfied with the mobile app; it did take a little time to understand the process, but once i got it i realized how straight forward it actually is. Everything is done directly through the app: to print anything from a mobile device first you open the brother app on that device. From there you have several options depending on where the data you want to print is stored on your device. For example the app can connect to your cloud account, files folder, recents folder, and/or you can print directly off a website. It is not a Bluetooth capable machine; which was a little disappointing initially. My previous experience with mobile printing had all been with Bluetooth connected machines; which is the reason i had slight difficulty navigating the process with the app at the beginning. That being said, the app actually enables you to do so much more than just a standard Bluetooth connection offers. The only other aspect i have not been completely satisfied with is that the product I received for this review is a monotone printer; which means it only prints black and white. I run a landscape design, install and maintenance company, so there are quite a few occasions that i require color printing capabilities. As far as invoicing, contracts, customer letters, etc. those things are concerned this printer is phenomenal. However, I do still require my old printer for all my color printing needs.

Fast and Easy, Scan both sides at once

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I previously had a Brother all-in-one printer that I liked, but this one is even better, and faster. You will likely need a separate printer table for this. It's not super wide but it has a fairly tall profile for a desktop. The set-up was very simple with clear instructions. It took all of about 10 minutes to get up and running using ethernet and wifi. This printer can print, scan, copy and fax. Printing is monochrome, extremely fast, and high quality. My favorite feature is the ability to scan both sides of a double-sided page - a big time saver and something I use a lot. The color touch screen is a good size and pretty user-friendly. Via the touch screen, you can create shortcuts as well. The only thing I haven't figured out yet is how to get a fax confirmation report, though it did automatically give me one when the fax wouldn't go thru due to a busy line. My one minor quibble is the door to open the tray for feeding envelopes or paper sometimes sticks a bit. I find if I gently lift up it opens fine. I expect to get years of good use out of this printer. I received this printer complimentary in exchange for my honest review.
