Amazing carseat with all the desired features!

I was given this convertible car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and I cannot believe the quality! When my child outgrew the infant carrier the search was ON for a quality convertible carseat that would allow maximum time in rear-facing mode, provide comfort & safety in the materials used, and be as easy as possible to use with a wiggly kid. The carseat is beautifully made and SO easy to adjust and buckle. (I cannot believe how nice the ClipQuik chest clip feels to use!) I wasn't sure whether the 360 option would be a must-have for me, but it certainly makes loading/unloading MUCH easier. I love the fact that the seat can be made a booster seat as well and look forward to not having to upgrade seats again when we reach that stage! Cons: Installation: Though the installation was fairly straight-forward, the suggested video left me with a few questions. I really appreciate the option for the video support call though, and once I found the user manual online I was able to answer my own questions and gain confidence that I had everything installed and adjusted correctly. Though I wish the carseat had been shipped with a physical user manual the online pdf was really easy to understand and gave me great peace of mind. Rear-facing: This carseat can be used in rear-facing up to 40 lbs. or 40 inches in height, which is great, but not as high as some of its competitors. Maxing out the rear-facing option is really important to me, and though this is not a total deal breaker it is definitely worth noting. Buckle: The crotch buckle (and its padding) are really difficult to get adjusted comfortably. My first several attempts left the clips in an uncomfortably tight fit on my child's legs. I was able to adjust for comfort with her current weight and height. However, I'm not totally confident she will remain comfortable in rear facing with the clips to the 40 lbs. or 40 inches limits.

Great ideas, lackluster execution
on July 1, 2024

I'm a mom to a 7-month-old and a 2-year-old, and I definitely look for convenience in a car seat because taking care of two young kids keeps me busy! I was given this convertible car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and I was excited to try it at first. It had several features that sounded really great: 360° rotation, 3 different modes of use, 5 recline positions, etc. However, while these are all great ideas for a carseat, the execution of the features was really disappointing. Pros: - The color and style - it's a nice, good quality fabric and looks great too. - My baby seems really comfy in this seat. - It's easy to installI and I really like the tension-sensitive indicator, it's nice to be able to know that the seat belt is tight enough and the seat is installed safely. - I like that the cupholders are removable (and dishwasher safe). Cons: - The swivel feature is extremely difficult to use. It takes a surprising amount of strength to push the button that makes it swivel, and then it's still not easy to rotate after that. This is the feature that should most add to the convenience of this seat, and, instead, it causes the most frustration. - It has 5 recline positions, but none of them really make the baby sit up very straight. - The straps are difficult both to tighten and to loosen. - The crotch buckle is positioned farther back than it seems it should be, which makes the latch unnecessarily snug in that area. - I don't like how the buckle tongue holders feel "backwards". The buckle tongue has to be inserted at an odd angle, so it doesn't end up being a helpful feature. - The seat itself has a huge footprint. It's quite a large seat and takes up a lot of space in the car. Overall, neither my husband nor I are a fan of this seat, and it's not one I'd recommend. Regardless of how many great features a carseat has, at the end of the day, if those features are not easy to use, they are not helpful to me as a mom.

Has some great perks but less secure than standard seats
on July 1, 2024

I received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and have been using the Emme 360 rotating all-in-one car seat for about a week now. Overall, there are some great perks to this seat, but it definitely doesn't feel as secure as the standard seats I'm more familiar with. Pros: the 360 rotation makes it really easy to get little ones in and out of the car. Also, the buckle is SUPER easy to use--way easier than all of the other seats I've tried. I like the removable and adjustable cup holders to fit different-sized water bottles or to remove them depending on which side of the car your little one is on. I also found the soft buckle cover to be a nice added comfort for my child. Cons: Because of the rotating base, there is some movement even when the base is secured tightly into place. There is a handy locking system that shows you when your seat is correctly locked in the rotated position, but even once locked, there is some wiggling near the base. That movement did make me somewhat uneasy while driving my daughter in this seat. Overall, there are lots of perks to this seat and we will likely keep using it for shorter trips, but the movement due to the rotating feature does make me a bit uncomfortable as compared to a standard seat.

Does not turn!!!

We registered for this carseat before our daughter was born. She is 9 months old now and we are using it for the first time. It doesn't turn without force. It often gets stuck. The straps are nearly impossible to pull tight. On top of that the reaquired body pillow is not secured into the carseat with anything making getting a baby in and out a nightmare. Avoid this carseat!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
