Comfy but Awkward Fit

This is my first 360 car seat and I was really excited about it. Like all Maxi Cosi car seats, this one is no exception with the cushioning and luxurious look. Things that I love about this car seat is the weight limit on rear facing is 40 lbs. I'm a mom who plans to keep my kids rear facing as long as possible. I love how this seat can grow with your child. I have three kids and I tried this car seat with all three of them and ultimately decided to use it for my larger toddler because I love how I can spin it from rear facing to facing the door. Getting a large toddler in and out of a rear facing car seat for a petite mom is very difficult but with the swivel, it's a piece of cake. I also love that you can take the cushions out to clean without having to take the whole car seat apart. The car seat cushions are luxurious but they are also excessive. There's also a cushion that's not attached but needs to be used when your kid is under 30 lbs. What I do not like about the car seat is the awkward fit with the belt buckles particularly the crotch buckle can only be in the second to last slot. My kid is considered skinny and with the cushions and the awkward belts, it's not very comfortable. It took a long time to figure out the right fit for my kid. This was a huge con for me because I never want my kids to be uncomfortable in a car seat. Installation was relatively easy with the seat belt, but it is a bulky car seat so make sure you have room next to it for installing. Lastly, I had some issues with the swivel operation and thought I was sent a faulty car seat because it would not spin. After setting up a quick FaceTime call with customer service, the issue was resolved so I highly commend Maxi Cosi for providing such a great service. Overall, nice features, but the fit is awkward and I'm not sure if it's because the cushioning doesn't quite work with the belt design. Great car seat, a few things I'd change

Pros: -nice feeling + cool material. - the labels: ok, this seems weird but I love the safety labels and the tension indicator on the base. Our other car seat does not have this and I really wish it did! We detach our car seat everytime we are done using it so having a tension indicator would likely make reattaching the car seat quicker. -cup holder design- the cup holders are great, the rotating cup holder part is a clever idea to keep all kinds of cups (even our daughters water bottle that doesn't fit in her other car seat cup holders fits!) and if you rotate the cup holder you can use it for snacks! They are removable and easy to clean too. -Maxi cosi makes it insanely easy to install your car seat right with video appointments (super easy to do) Cons: - while I like the material and think it's an overall good looking car seat, I worry about how the appearance will hold up over time. Some of the fabric parts seem like they will may start looking a little rough. -drink cups take up potential leg space when attached. My toddler has her legs all over her car seat and With the Emme the cup holders attach on the top (but obviously on the side) of the sitting part of the car seat. When I attach one and have my toddler in the seat she freaks out and kicks it. -Crotch buckle- no matter how much I adjusted it I couldn't get the middle buckle to not rub against my toddlers thighs. She isn't a big kid, but something about the way the seat positioned her made it look uncomfortable. As far as the rotating seat, the car seat swivels fluidly without a kid in the car seat. I found it hard to rotate my 30 lb toddler around. Overall I think this is a great car seat, I don't know if I'd personally use it the advertised lifespan, but I think it's a good option for someone looking for that. *I was sent this car seat by Stellar Product testing panel

Emme 360 Rotating All-In-One Convertible Car Seat

The first thing I thought when I unboxed the car seat was "Wow, look at all that padding!" Baby is definitely well protected with removable padding as well as nice features like padding on the shoulder straps. It's a well built car seat - I didn't like the removable cupholders though. They seem kind of flimsy and I'm not sure how well they will last over time. The 360 rotation is a wonderful feature and made it a lot easier to get my son out of his seat. He's in the middle seat in our van so it can be difficult to get him out of a regular rear-facing car seat. Having the swivel rotation definitely made for less of a strain on my back! I loved the swivel lock indicator so that I never had to guess whether the car seat was locked back into place. I really liked the magnetic chest buckle as well. One thing I didn't like was the crotch buckle. It was almost flush with the bottom of the car seat and made it kind of difficult to buckle and unbuckle at times. Installation was just as easy as other brands we have purchased in the past. One thing we did notice on installation was a broken piece where the reclining handle is at. I've reached out to Maxi-Cosi to let them know and see what can be done. I feel like this car seat would be functional for many years as your child grows. Love this car seat even with flaws

We received the Emma 360 rotating carseat as part of the Stellar testing panel. The Emma car seat was simple to install and gave me ease knowing the car seat was secure. We have continued to enjoy this car seat, but do not use it to its full intentions. The Emma 360 car seat is extremely difficult to turn, which defeats the purpose of the car seat. My husband is the only one that twist it because it's to difficult for me, even he struggles getting it to twist. But when it is twisted, it makes putting our 23 month old in the car seat so much easier since he loves to wiggle!

Swivel lock is difficult

I was given this convertible car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. This car seat does have a lot of premium features with its design and function. Installing the car seat is pretty easy and you have the tension sensor to really affirm to you that you've correctly installed the car seat. It is quite heavy to lift up into the car. The adjustable headrest has become a must in our household so you can easily adjust as your child grows, since this is a car seat that they should be able to use for life. It's also be a good choice for caregivers that maybe have multiple children they drive around, like grandkids. The magnetic harness is sooo nice to have and makes that final buckling a cinch. All materials used with this car seat are higher end and should clean up well and last the years. Now to the swivel function, an innovation in car seats. I've always wanted one of these car seats for that ability. I will say that with the Emme, it's not as easy as I hoped. The pull lever is similar to what you'd pull to release an infant carrier from the base. It's pretty difficult. I actually can't do it seamlessly at the moment and it's been frustrating for me. I hope over time that it wears in and is not so hard on my fingers to pull it out of the locking position. For that reason this car seat is not on my must have list.

One of a kind car seat!

Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this amazing all-in-one car seat! Getting my daughter in and out of the car is a breeze now that I can make the seat rotate to face me. From installation to everyday use it was simple to understand and there is a barcode to scan with a very helpful tutorial video that we took advantage of. Some of my favorite features that add to the Emme 360 car seat include the awesome harness holders, wonderful soft/durable/washable fabric, cool removable cup holders, and the smart ClipQuik chest clip. The modes this seat includes from front facing to rear facing with recline options is pretty exceptional. I hate to say anything bad about this car seat but there are two things that I can't ignore. My daughter still sits rear facing and because of the design of this seat when I lock it into position you can push it from side to side at the top at least a couple inches. My husband and I noticed this while testing it out and rechecked the install to make sure the base was super tight. Even though the base has no movement at all you can still wiggle the car seat from the top in rear lock position. When we rotated it to front facing it did not wiggle which made me feel better. My daughter will be front facing soon and I will feel a bit more comfortable without that movement in the seat. The other item that slightly bothers me is the release handle to rotate the car seat is extremely hard to release. I have to really get in there and squeeze it with all my might but at least it locks good I guess. Overall this car seat is truly amazing! You can really see and feel the layers of protection within the seat from top to bottom. With the easy adjustable headrest and removable inserts I know my daughter can grow with this seat to give it many years of use. We are considering splurging on a second one for my husbands truck as it's just that great!

Great All-In-One Option

I loved the features on this car seat, the rotation made it really easy to get my little one in and out, and I really appreciate all of the options for extension as he gets older. Car seats are not a small investment so longevity is key for us. It seems to be super comfortable and I like the dual cupholders. Depending on how your car is set up and how many kids you have, it's a little wide- I don't think you'd be able to fit three across in most vehicles. I knocked a star because it is so expensive and things like safe car seats that have conveniences/last longer shouldn't break the bank for anyone. I've also seen many reviews that have had quality control issues, which thankfully we have not so I'm hoping the issue was fixed and it isn't that we just happened to get a good one. Thanks Stellar Panel for sending us this car seat.
