Love the car seat, it won't turn though

We love the car seat, but from day one we have had issues with it turning. It gets stuck almost immediately and I have to use my whole body to turn it. I would love a replacement due to learning this a defect and we love the seat.

I would not buy this product again

I have this car seat installed in my car. It is installed based on the installation video and is correct. This car seat does not make a full 360, it only turns the direction you want it to go. For example, my car seat is on my passenger side and it will only turn to the passenger door. The turn handle is awkward and is very difficult to pull to turn the car seat. I do not recommend.

Disappointed

Disappointed in this given the high price tag. The swivel feature works but it's very finicky and stiff- I can't always get it turned with baby in it. Our baby is very uncomfortable in this seat- he is 22 pounds, rear facing. There is a very thick cushion behind baby's butt that apparently cannot be removed until 30 pounds for safety. It makes my child very squished- it also is not connected (not even with Velcro!) so it flys out of the seat and moves around every time you take the child out. If you are going to be required to leave it in, it should have a connection of some sort. The material is very nice- hoping that once I can remove the butt/back pad my child will fit better. Also, because of this- it's extremely hard to buckle in the lower buckles. The padding has him shoved so far forward that there's no room for the clip. I can see that this would be very comfortable for an infant (and maybe a toddler too) but this is not great for that in-between size. Giving two stars because the actual material is very nice and it looks nice. But the ease of use and comfort for my size child is not worth it.

A little disappointed

The car seat does not rotate easily.. It was so difficult to rotate to the left I had to switch it to the other other side of my car so I could rotate it to the right. It is still not the most user friendly car seat when it comes to rotating.

I hate this carseat

I have been incredibly disappointed not only with the Emme 360 but Maxi Cosi and their lack of customer service all together. We were very excited to get the Emme 360, after LOVING our Maxi Cosi infant car seat, but I could not be more disappointed. 1. I had the Emme 360 installed by a certified car seat technician so I know it's installed correctly. However the latch to turn the car seat from rear facing towards the door (the whole point of getting the 360) gets stuck and will not turn! Even if it did turn properly, the placement of the latch makes it impossible to turn the car seat one handed. I don't know about you, but I don't know many parents that have both hands free at all the times. 2. The straps are incredibly difficult to loosen. For some reason they're doubled and they only loosen if you hold the button and pull on the TOP strap at the same time. If you pull the whole shoulder strap at once it will not budge. And again, I don't know about you, but I don't know any baby that likes to hold still and remain calm while their parent tries to figure out which strap to pull and use both hands to turn the car seat that won't unlatch. 3. I reached out to Maxi Cosi customer service about my concerns regarding the Emme 360 and it has now been nearly 2 weeks now and I haven't gotten a single response. Additional observations about this car seat… it is VERY heavy! It was difficult to even carry to the car to install. I bought this car seat to leave solely in my vehicle. But if you're needing a car seat that is easily moved between two+ cars, this is NOT the one for you. While our infant carseat by Maxi Cosi was easy to take apart to clean the Emme 360 seams to be spot clean only. Our baby hasn't had a blow out in it YET but I'm already dreading the day because it's going to be a wrestling match taking apart the cover to clean this car seat. Hope this review helps someone save a colossal waste of time and money. One star.

I bought this for the convenience of being able to turn the seat to make it easier to strap on my baby. However, the seat would always get stuck. Had to exchange the seat teice

Great car seat

We were in the market for a rotating car seat as my husband and I both have back issues. We choose the maxi cosi as we wanted a seat that would rotate 360. My husband has a small car so its great for him, as when our son isn't in the car with him, he moves the seat forward facing. My husband had no issues with his car seat however my car seat there was an issue with the rotation. I tried emailing Maxi cosi about the defect but i didnt get a response back but when i called them the issued was fixed after I sent an email of the seat not rotating. They were super nice about the issue and will send me a label to send back the defective seat and will send me a new one. Even though the car seat for my car was defective I still love the seat as I really got to see the seat in action in my husband's car. I would definitely recommend to others to get. My only issue with the seat is the rotating button as its in a terrible location and takes two hands to rotate. If you are holding your child this makes for a difficult situation so now you are just putting your kid in the seat in the forward or rear facing position at this point. This is really my only issue with it, but a solution my friend came up with was to put the seat forward facing when getting out of the car. This way if you dont have free hands it will be easier to get your child in the car, buckled and then you can rotate rear facing. But definitely this seat is worth every penny.
