Exactly what I was looking for

Installed the timer two weeks ago and it works perfectly. I am able to change the schedule easily from any location and I have been able to adjust the watering schedule based on our drastic rain and temperature changes in Savannah.

Key App Features Sharing & Rain Skip Are Missing for Smart Hose Timer Kit

The app doesn’t include Sharing with family members or Rain Skip for the Smart Hose Timer Starter Kit. Until the app has these features, this product can only be rated as “Okay”. It does the job but doesn’t have these key features which make the Rachio sprinker system controller (that I use at another property) really Great.

Excellent add-on product to the existing Rachio Smart Watering Family

Other than a few issues getting the firmware updated on the wireless hub, my experience has been great. Love that this product uses the same Rachio app that I use to manage by other Rachio products. The interface is easy and intuitive. The one button manual operation directly on Smart Hose Timer valve is also a great feature. I will be adding a couple more valves once they become available separately.

Smart Hose Timer

Has been a great hose timer so far. Much easier to use than other timers and I have used plenty. Easy to manually water and love the set and forget schedule.
Wish the product could integrate better with the Rachio irrigation system and that you could chose which system it is monitoring for rain skip though. Rachio should design a dual one.

Good performance and nice app as expected, though with some quiriks

Once setup, works great. Had difficulties setting up as it kept giving a connection error when trying to pair the timer and hub. Server may have been down? Worked fine the next day. I have a Rachio irrigation timer as well and I was surprised that the layout of the app is so different for the hose-end timer. It's strange to have to select one of the devices and then get access to the "Events" screen. But it was still quite intuitive and easy to setup schedules.
