Great device!

I’m in awe of Rachio products and the reason I purchased the Smart Hose Timer is because I have a section of my yard that isn’t able to be wired to my Rachio EB4450. The only downside to Smart Hose Timer is that it doesn’t integrate to the EB4450 which would really be great!

Main issue is that all my hose access points are close to the ground so now I have to dig holes to make it work. Sort of a bummer

I’ve tried resetting and starting over but it doesn’t stay connected. I have two other Rachio units and love them but my two smart hose timer isn’t working.

Great timer, had used a deferent timer from orbit but this one is way easier to put on network and to control, plus I already have the Rachio sprinkler controller so it was easy to add to the app

Wifi problems

Unfortunately we couldn't get the Smart Hose Timer or Hub to work with our WiFi. We even switched from an Xfinity 2.4/5/6 Ghz Router to the 2.4 Ghz only Router to try and resolve but still wouldn't connect.
I hope the Rachio Engineers figure out a fix as we like the concept for the hose timers.

worth the piece of mind

I've been using this hose controller for a couple weeks now. It is very reassuring when were on vacation or at the cabin, to know that all the flower beds and potted flowers are getting the needed water. Yet it wont water when its raining or rain is forecast. I love that it sends me a texts me notifications both when its going to run or if it's canceling the next schedule. The app is very easy to use and I love that it goes right with my Rachio sprinkler controller.

Careful for full flow setting on you valve!

Works great and as described, however I was surprised as to the shock to the house pipes when it shuts on and off. This is because I leave it hooked up to a hose and sprinkler adjusted to a high flow. It would be cool if they could figure out a way to open and close the valve slowly. Other than that, works great.
