Great Product, works well and is just a supplement to my inground sprinkler system for areas that need a little more attention than the rest of the yard. The mobile app is just icing on the cake

Good but not perfect!

I love the concept but there’s a major problem with the hub and the power supply. The male plug that is designed to give power to the Hub is defective, I’ve replaced one for this issue but when the replacement arrived it presented with the same issue. Instead of returning the replacement I had to tape the male plug into a position that continually supply power to the Hub. What I’m trying to say is that the Hub has a positional fit with the male plug which requires the end user to manipulate the male plug until you find the sweet spot.
Once that happens the unit works great but keep in mind if it is bumped moved it may require a little work to hit the sweet spot again.

While I love my Rachio Smart Controller, the well-needed hose timer needs a redesign. The battery compartment is in the back and requires a screwdriver. I have 4 valves connected via a splitter which makes changing batteries very difficult. Putting this in the front would have been much more convenient. Also, the connection between the hub and the AC adapter is extremely poor. Rachio how to replace the product twice before I was provided with a product that worked out the box.

Poor connectivity

After finally getting the device connected, the power pack cable was defective so I had to wait to get a replacement. Then when I unplugged the device from the wall and put it in another plug, it lost the connectivity and I had to re-connect it. The instructions are very poor. This device needs more fine tuning.

I can’t say how much I love the Rachio products. They are a perfect combination of physical controller and cloud based technology. Nothing in their products forces tech on a person that doesn’t want it but it makes it available for those that do.

Makes watering so easy

My best purchase for my yard projects so far! This has worked great for some overseed projects that I have going on in my front and back yard. I'll also be able to use it to water my garden during the summer! It was very easy to set up, I had zero difficulties getting it to connect.
