The sytem can control anywhere in the world via WiFi and change the schedule at will. Best thing the system will check the local weather and adjusted the watering schedule.

Too Early to Tell

I purchased the hose time for my Daughter’s family, but since we have all closed down our outside water faucets and irrigations systems in our part of the country, it hasn’t been used. If it is anything like the Controller I have for my landscape, I’m confident it will be an excellent product!

Because the technology of RACHIO equipment is superior to all the others out there, my home and yard benefit from it, from the constant up-to-date weather reporting from the backyard monitoring unit to it controlling the sprinkler controller, saving me money and time.

Best Yet!

I replaced three mechanical timers / controllers (exterior pots and in-ground swimming pool) which worked ok but required constant attention - changing watering times as weather changed, changing times as we went into daylight savings changes none of which were big deals but did require going to the timers and resetting them.
Now, using our IPhones, schedules can be easily changed, pool refilling can be done remotely and the reliability of operation is 100%. You cannot appreciate the convenience and benefits until you start using these. Also, the mechanical timers went off rain or sunshine. With the skip feature for rainy weather we no longer over-water the plants. Hats off to RACHIO!

Great Product, Kinda Spendy

I really like this and have replaced an old-school dual output timer with two of the valves and a hub. The hub is quite a distance from the valves, and there's a lot of house in between them, so I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't have to relocate the hub.
All of that said, the cost of this set-up is, even at the discounted price I got, is more than 2x the cost of the old-school controller. Is that worth it? We'll see, but it does give me pause when I consider buying more to complete the setup.

After operating for about 2 weeks, it started leaking steadily while I was out of town for Thanksgiving. My Flume device notified me about the leak, and I assumed someone had left something on, but it was the Smart Hose Timer. I've turned off the spigot since it leaks with the slightest amount of water on. Also, its runs don't show up on the Rachio app the way my original Rachio timer does, and doesn't seem to read my rain skip request.
