Works well, so far.

So far so good. Unit operates per manufacturer's specs. Haven't had to trouble shoot or reboot controller. I have it watering my raised bed twice daily. Cell phone app is average. It takes a little trial and error working out the scheduling without referring to the controller's manual. Overall, very satisfied and prefer this controller vs my Rain Bird 1ZEHTMR garden hose controller.

Nice automation of hose irrigation

The Smart Hose Timer is working well. The equipment seems well made, solid, like it should hold up outside. It was easy to set the schedule, and doesn't require any real effort to add an extra bit of run time for areas that get more of the relentless Texas sun. I did have quite a bit of trouble with the first timer you sent. In order to install it, I had to learn a good bit about our wifi and how to connect to the unused 2.4 ghz frequency, which we didn't use or even have set up. And the setup seemed to need the device I was using for setup to be on that same 2.4 ghz frequency. Figuring this out took several days, and some time on the phone with customer service. Eventually, they had me return the timer. A new timer soon arrived, and thanks to my crash course in home networking, I was able to get it set up without much trouble on my own. The hose timer setup trouble surprised me because we had installed the Rachio 3 several years ago easily, without any trouble.

Just set up my hub and two hose timers. Bought it earlier but with all the rain, didn't need it. This replaces a similar system from a different manufacturer that failed after two seasons. The Rachio system was much easier to set up and just not as complicated. It seems to work fine. I look forward to many years of use. I hesitate to rate it 5 stars because it is literally just out of the box. But I expect it will prove itsellf.

Timer works Delivery terrible

Be prepared to wait for over a week after placing an order. It immediately gets marked as shipped but won’t move out of CA for 7-10 days. Placed 2 orders about a month apart and both orders were delayed.

Love the ease of usage but I use for hose control when watering abd washing cars and would love a specific just on off ability when I quick switch a hose nozzle

Rachio made set up so easy. Simple to follow instructions and it works flawlessly. Great when going out of town but I just leave it set up all the time so I do not have to think about watering vegetable garden and flower garden.
I ended up getting 2 timers set up on a splitter so I could have different schedules for the 2 areas I water. If Rachio developed a single timer with its own splitter that allowed for 2 different schedules at 2 different locations - that would be a winner.
