Great addition to Rachio irrigation controller

Most of our yard and garden is handled by the Rachio controller. Until we can add a few more zones, the smart hose timer is doing a great job in a newly planted area.

Smart Hose Timer Works!

My Smart Hose Timer is working well so far...been about a month since I started using it. It was easy to install and program. It's so great that it's tied into local weather and I basically don't have to think about weather or not the lawn should be watered and, of course, it's saves on water consumption.

Smart Hose Timer short time using but GREAT so far

I've been using the smart Hose time in conjunction with my Rashio sprinkler system in order to water our home vegetable garden bed. So far it's been outperforming the previous automatic time I used for 2 reasons - 1 it takes advantage of my customer weather tracking from my weather station for rain skips maximizing efficiency; 2 the streamlined design is much better than the bulkier auto timers I e used previously.
Overall, while I've only been using it 2 months, it has been a great tool!

10 minute run time can't by changed

Unless you have your phone with you to change the run time, the smart hose timer runs for ten minutes because that's the time the units are set at the factory - and can't be permanently changed.
So if you want to simply walk around your yard with a hose to hand hand water plants, or potted plants on a deck, you have to either 1) have your phone with you and guess how long you'll need to water, then increase the run time from 10 minute to whatever time you estimate you'll need the water on.
Or 2) Keep walking back and forth from you yard/deck to the timer to press the start button again.
This is also true for running a pressure washer.
What would help would need to allow the timer to be changed without using the app since we frequently don't carry our phones when we're gardening and simply in our backyard.
What I envision is a timer that, when pressed once to turn on, runs for ten minutes or THE LENGTH OF TIME A PERSON CHANGES TO THE STANDARD DEFAULT TEAM (overriding three factory set point of ten minutes). Once activated by pressing three on/off button twice rapidly would double three run time. Triple press would turn the water on indefinitely - until turned off manually by pressing the off switch once.

Looks like something went wrong with the hub

But, please, take care on the update process of the bridge, it was hard and still, when I call the app, appears the message: " Looks like something went wrong with the hub firmware update" (dismiss/try again). I always click dismiss and continue running well now, but this is a problem you must work on.
