Does what it is designed to do

I’ve only had it in service for a few days. But my testing so far indicates that it has been flawless. The scheduling works properly. My only real complaint is that the Rachio app is poorly designed. It is a chore to set up schedules. The smart hose timer section should be better integrated into the main water controller.

Smart idea, not the best product

Very simple to install, easy to use and works fantastic with the Rachio app. However you end up losing a lot of water pressure because the smart hose timer doesn't open all the way and there is no way to adjust this. Overall solid product but the water pressure issue would make it way better if fixed.

Solid Valve With Easy Control

The valve has metal parts that should hold up better than cheaper plastic valves. Programming is easy with the Rachio app.
I did need to get a replacement for the first kit shipped because of a defective hub. Customer service responded quickly.

You should be able to buy just a new Timer if you already have a hub.

I already have one Timer and hub. The Timer is great but I should not have to buy a new hub just to get a new timer. It really is a ripe-off since the base product itself is excellent.

Fabulous Timer

I have been using Rachio as my main controller for my lawn sprinkler since 2016. My spouse recently added raised beds to her garden which needed a separate watering zone. However, we bought the Rachio smart hose timer and ran a drip kit from a nearby hose spigot. -Works perfectly. With my iphone, I can set virtually any schedule I want and always have the option of watering on demand. The button on the unit also gives us the option of watering for a defined period of time (i.e. 10 minutes) simply by pressing a button. Setup was easy -took me about 15 minutes. I find it very useful so we dont have remember to water the veggies or find someone to water them when we are on vacation. Well designed product.

The best smart hose timer

I’m not very good with assembly or hooking up anything with watering for garden stuff but Rachio products always made it so user friendly. I already have a Rachio sprinkler system and I love the app. So because that worked great and I thought to try the smart hose timer. I have tried two other brands before and it has let me down many times and I thought that’s just the way it’s suppose to be for these kind of things. It’s always a leaking problem and I had to be creative to see what I can do to not leak. Connecting Rachio smart hose timer was easy and in couple of minutes it was ready to go. There was no leak the first time, unbelievable. The hose timer and hub feels sturdy and made with good quality. The only complain I have is the battery area where you have to use a screw. So when I need to change battery, I’ll need to either disconnect or unscrew it. The screw can fall and end up hard to find. But other than that, this thing is reliable and doesn’t let me worry if there’s a sudden leak or suddenly it doesn’t water when it’s schedule to. I had problems with that with other brands. I love Rachio. I believe whatever product they come out with is reliable and not having to worry. I love the sprinkler and hose timer is all in one app. I love the app comparing to other brands too. There’s no lag or not saving whatever you were trying to change. I bought this product and didn’t get it for free or anything. This is honestly true love. I love Rachio
