Awesome little product

This little "mower" is exactly what I needed to keep a wildflower area behind my fence a little more tamed. I only need to trim the fence line back about the width of the deck on this product to keep the line cleaner looking. I used to mow it down but this allows me to trim some and let nature do her thing. The bees and butterflies and small birds still have ample delights for their needs and I have more pleasant looking fence line. This is also a handy back up trimmer when I need it ,so a win-win for us and nature.

I needed a light weed eater to help cut weeds and grass in my yard. This was my first ever garden mower. I love that it’s light and can be used as a mower with the attachment or use as a weed eater. I bought an extra battery and charger so that if I run out of power I change to a new one.

I was skeptical when I purchased the 3 in 1, but when I.and my grandson put it to work it worked. I ordered it last week and neighbors are asking where we got from. We got a nice cut. Wished it was faster in charging but otherwise it does what itsays. Nice value. Thanks black and decker. I trustes the name and took a chance. I'm happy i did. Only wish it didn't popoff chassis only happened couple of times.

B&D has good concept, but poor execution

I bought this trimmer/mower after seeing the video. Upon receiving it, the handle rod was slightly bent. I assembled it. The unit is made mostly of plastics. The entire mower/trimmer with battery is about 10 pounds, light weight and easy to handle. Following the instruction manual page 6, I charged the first battery for 3 hours (the manual says 4 hours) until the LED light turned solid green. Then I took it out for a try out. The switch to turn of the unit has a locking knob that you have to push it (either left or right) first before you can squeeze the switch. The cut of the grass is okay - the top of the grass is partially threaded; not a smooth cut, a sign of weak motor not generating high enough speed to whip and snap the grass. After all, it's a weed wacker mounted on wheels, NOT a steel blade mower. After mowing for 15 minutes trimming 5 feet x 20 feet strip of the front yard, the trimmer stopped. The battery is drained. But, the 2nd battery is not ready, the green LED light of the battery being charged is still flashing. It took another 5 hours before the LED light of the 2nd battery turned solid green. If you have a very, very small yard, less than 10' x 20', this mower might suite you; unless you want to mow 30 minutes and wait another 8 hours for the two batteries to finish charging.
It is a good idea for B&D to build a trimmer/mower. But, resulting product is somewhat disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
